Senior Sales and Use Tax AccountantParker + Lynch has teamed up with our client in Bergen County for a Senior Sales and Use Tax Accountant.--This person would serve as the point of contact for all items related to sales and use tax on a national level.--If you have 5 years or more of experience in this specialized area of tax, and are interested in pursuing your next career opportunity, please apply below.--Advanced Excel skills and superb mathematical skills are necessary to exceed in this position.Duties and Responsibilities* Prepare and review sales and use tax returns for multi-states, to comply with state and local regulations* Prepare and review journal entries and perform account reconciliations, identify account variances and determine corrective courses of action* Maintain and update customer's sales tax exemption certificates* Gather required documents for sales tax audits* Provide tax guidance to internal and external customers, and communicate with state and local taxing jurisdictions to resolve tax notices* Create and formalize all tax operating procedures and controlsQualifications* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation* 5+ Years of Experience in multi-state jurisdictions* Knowledge of state and local sales/use tax* SAP experience preferred* Advanced mathematical and Microsoft Excel skills required* Team Player Compensation?$90,000If you are interested in this position or any other Accounting and Finance career opportunities, please apply and contact Kellie Sclafani at kellie.sclafani@parkerlynch.com.
