Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance department with various tasks within all areas of accounting, including but not limited to general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and treasury. This position will be exposed to all areas of accounting for various legal entities and will help ensure that the month end close process is completed timely and efficiently and the financial results are properly reported. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Key responsibilities will include: * Assist with the month end close process, specifically, reconciling all intercompany accounts, creating elimination journal entries within the consolidation entities, inputting foreign entity trial balances into the US ledger system, assisting in generating monthly consolidated financial statements. * Ensure all journal entries to record payroll, interest, taxes, and amortization expense are recorded timely and accurately. * Prepare account analysis and reconciliations for various income and balance sheet accounts including, bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, intangibles and goodwill, ensuring all are completed timely and accurately. * Record daily cash postings, including ACH, wire payments and bank transfers. * Support finance team with the audit requests. Prepare schedules for the year-end audit and quarterly close. * Perform ad hoc and special projects as deemed necessary during the course of the year. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS * 4 year Accounting Degree required * 2-4 years of public/private accounting experience preferred * Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus * Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP and pivot tables) * Analytic and problem solving skills a must * Very effective organization and time management skills * Ability to work in a fast paced environment is a must * Dedication, passion, attentive to detail and ability to effectively multi-task operations/projects with deadlines
