SummaryThe Controller will lead, support and develop the global accounting team while driving efficiency to keep up with the demands of our high-growth business. Oversee the monthly global financial close process. Own and maintain the GL and accounting records for Sectigo to produce real time results and provide information to senior management and outside parties. The Controller will be responsible for the annual external audit preparation and oversight and all global tax compliance.
Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and year-end close financial reporting close process to ensure an accurate and timely close.
  • Manage all Debt and Equity transactions
  • Responsible for the annual audit
  • Integration of newly acquired companies
  • Oversee all global tax compliance including federal, state income taxes (domestic and foreign), VAT and sales taxes, payroll and other taxes (stamp duties, etc.)
  • Revenue recognition (ASC606) and oversight of AR, Deferred Revenue accounts and Bad Debt reserves
  • Oversee all Treasury, liquidity and cash forecasting
  • Account variance and reconciliation analysis
  • PE Sponsor reporting and management
  • Managing large and complex data models across the organization including vendor and customer master data
  • UK Statutory reporting and UK audits
  • Canadian Statutory reporting
  • Working with compensation programs including Payroll, PTO, Health Benefits, Bonus and annual performance and merit targets, Sales Commissions, Temp labor
  • Intercompany and related party transactions
  • Manage Leases and Rent accounting- Deferred Rent and lease commitments (new leasing standard)
  • Assist with Professional fees and other accruals
  • Owning the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 GL software
  • Evaluate, design and implement strong processes and internal controls to ensure that all transactions are valid and correctly accounted for
  • Liase with Information Technology, Legal, HR, Product Management/ R&D and other functions
  • Drive efficiency and automation to streamline operations
  • Team Leadership through active recruiting and managing of talent, including mentoring and coaching and training team members
  • Ad-hoc projects

  • QualificationsEDUCATION:
    • BS/ BA in Accounting
      EXPERIENCE:
      • Minimum 10+ years professional accounting experience
      • CPA required
      • Public Accounting experience preferred (Big 7 or equivalent)
      • Prior experience with technology or SaaS companies is preferred
      • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and exposure to international accounting is a big plus
      • Experience using and managing ERP systems
