We put consumers at the core of what we do and are continually looking to improve our people, knowledge, processes and technologies to accomplish this.JOB OVERVIEWPerform ongoing analysis of material, labor and overhead rates as they relate to product costs. Support standard cost updates.Review and report on operational results providing in-depth analysis and explanations of manufacturing cost and variance analysis. Interact with Production Control as needed.Responsible for Spare Parts master data coordination and reporting and analysis.Review and Report on PPV.Analyze direct and indirect labor performance.Perform ad hoc product/plant analysis to support product costing new items.Support plant budgeting process.Interfaces with production management, inventory control and warehouse staff, and Quality Control.Support audit of internal control as assigned.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReport food safety and quality issues to Plant management.Performs cost accounting activities covering material and production costs, costs of sales, product development, labor & overhead, etc. Includes plant observations / investigations.Performs analysis and reports operational metrics (throughput analysis) for both product manufacturing and support services (maintenance department).Compares actual costs to standards and estimates, and analyzes variancesPerforms analysis and variance reporting of plant budget variances.Perform daily analysis of manufacturing orders and provide detailed analysis to operationsCarry out plant observations to identify variations from standards for Head count and machine speedSupport Creation and maintenance of spare part item numbersAudits production records to ensure accuracy of recorded quantities, verifies control steps are being followed, and analyzes usage of direct materials.Attend / participate in daily production meetings.Participates in plant floor huddles.Project work as required.Support cycle counting / year end physical inventory reconciliation as assigned.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGHigh School education or equivalent is requiredDegree in accounting1 to 2 years experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environmentDetail oriented and possess excellent communication skillsMicrosoft Excel at an intermediate level requiredWilling to be trainedAbility to read, speak, and write English is essential, fluent in Spanish and/or English are preferred
