Overview:Lupin is comprised of a fast growing, innovative and robust team of manufacturing, Research and Development and commercial divisions. Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women's health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Dollars are not a measure of success but rather the people we help along the way.Responsibilities:Role SummaryResponsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to prepare and analyze financialinformation, in order to prepare accurate and timely reporting to Corporate and Internal LocalManagement. Ensure appropriate accounting control procedures are followed. Expected to work crossfunctionally to develop and implement methodologies and practice to achieve compliance and maintainfinancial statements and related accounting documents. Also, will utilize his/her knowledge of technicalaccounting matters in accordance with UGAAP/IFRS to effectively and efficiently perform Close,consolidation and reporting of financial statements of US entitiy along with all US subsidiaries.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesA Accounting--- Lead all review and reconciliation of Lupin's North America financial information for local statutorymanagement reporting as well as the required reporting to Global Headquarters.--- Oversee local and overseas team responsible for the accounting treatment of operational accountingtransactions related to monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy andcompleteness of financial records.--- Manage the quarterly impairment analysis for goodwill, intangibles and other assets.--- Manage and/or perform the preparations of financial statements, ensuring the compilation of support forfinancials.--- Core participation in quarterly financial reporting process, including: footnotes, debt, intercompany andother reconciliations.--- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual close calendar and manage tasks to completion withprescribed deadlines--- Ownership and preparation of consolidated financial statements and related analytics.--- Maintain relationship with external audit staff and support various aspects of the audit.--- Coordination of various aspects of the annual independent external audit and work with counterparts toensure timely and accurate completion of audit.--- Preparation of more complex account reconciliations and monthly review of balance sheet reconciliationsprepared by staff.--- Documentation of the various systems & processes enhancements.--- Maintains accounting controls through maintenance of Chart of Accounts and defining accounting policiesand procedures.--- Lead and coordinate cross functionally to finalize quarterly and annual close calendar and manage taskscompletion within the prescribed deadlines.--- Ownership and review of monthly financial statements and related analytics--- Research and analysis of accounting pronouncements and provide input on technical accounting.--- Support Tax, sales and operations managers as needed through researching and interpreting accountingpolicy to prepare financial analysis and make recommendations regarding resolution of financial issues.--- Provide management oversight and guidance to GL accounting staffQualifications:Education & Experience--- Bachelors' Degree in Accounting--- Certified Public Accountant required--- With 4-6 years of related GL accounting and financial reporting experience required, costaccounting experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.--- Experience researching, documenting and operationalizing accounting treatment for complexagreements/transactions.--- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and determine creativesolutions to accounting issues--- Thorough working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS and other accounting and reporting standards--- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verballyand in writing, with all levels of management and staff and with outside parties as necessary--- Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense ofurgency about solving problems, ability to meet challenging deadlines and the willingness toachieve critical goals even in difficult situations--- Experience with IFRS accounting standard--- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention todetail--- Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain financial controls and accounting policies andprocedures--- Public accounting experience required.--- SAP experience is a plus--- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, ExcelPhysical RequirementsThe physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers,reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping,and crawling may apply.
