Job Description Job Description We are looking for a
detail-oriented Cash Reconciliation Specialist to join our team in
Stamford, Connecticut. In this long-term contract position, you
will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate reconciliation of
cash receipts and applications while working with high volumes of
financial data. This role requires a strong ability to manage large
datasets, maintain precision, and deliver reliable results.
Responsibilities: • Reconcile cash receipts with cash applications
to ensure financial accuracy and completeness. • Process daily
payments received through checks and system-generated transactions.
• Manage and analyze large volumes of financial data to identify
discrepancies and resolve issues. • Utilize Great Plains software
and Excel to handle complex datasets and create detailed reports. •
Work closely with the Controller to provide updates and maintain
compliance with financial standards. • Ensure timely and precise
reconciliation of accounts for over 18,000 clients. • Handle
payments ranging from small to moderate amounts with careful
attention to detail. • Maintain organized records of
reconciliations and transactions for auditing purposes. •
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve
efficiency. • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance cash
reconciliation workflows.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cash
reconciliation or related financial roles. • Proficiency in
handling large datasets using Excel and financial software such as
Great Plains. • Strong knowledge of bank account reconciliation and
cash application processes. • Exceptional attention to detail and
accuracy in managing financial data. • Ability to work with high
volumes of transactions and meet tight deadlines. • Solid
organizational and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve
discrepancies. • Familiarity with reconciling low-dollar and
high-volume client accounts. • Effective communication skills to
collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
