Key Responsibilities:
Sr. Assistant Data Entry Clerk
Responsible for knowledge of all functions in the Claims Processing Department in order to fill in and/or help out the department. Also responsible for mailing preparation of Return to Provider letters in an efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities (List all essential duties and responsibilities in order of importance)
o Assist in the Claims Processing Department (including Data Entry, Screening, Mailroom and filing work) to assist in achieving departmental goals.
o Assist in the Provider Enrollment Department (including preparing applications for scanning and assisting in the Provider Enrollment file room).
o Gain knowledge of all aspects of the Claims Department.
o Meets established production and quality standards.
o Supports all departmental initiatives in improving overall efficiency.

State Plan / Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities (List all essential duties other than those listed above in order of importance)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (List all knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to perform the job satisfactorily)
o Have proficient keyboarding skills to include efficient use of the 10 keypad
o Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook
o Ability to abide by Gainwells policies
o Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule
o Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
o Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers


Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED Preferred Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED

Required Experience:
1-2 years experience
Preferred Experience:
3-4 years experience
