We strive to create a culture that values dedication, hard work, collaborative events and community involvement.Job DescriptionMedical Writer, Clinical CommunicationsThe Medical Writer will have an opportunity to learn about multiple therapeutic areas, travel to medical conferences, interact with leading experts in the medical field. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members in creating both print and digital deliverables, including supplements, video productions, and materials for medical advisory board events.The Clinical Communications team strives to meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and editorial relevance for our medical publications. This position requires excellent attention to detail; the ability to write, edit, and review clinical manuscripts per American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of Style, integrate the comments of multiple reviewers into manuscripts, and independently develop clinical content.QualificationsResponsibilities:Custom content development* Perform extensive literature review of various disease states, therapeutic advancements, current research trends and clinical data* Develop content outlines, manuscripts, and other materials (i.e., monographs, presentations, video) with strategic alignment of content to the objectives of the activity* Review manuscripts at multiple stages to resolve any potential inconsistencies or inaccuracies. Ensure scientific/clinical accuracy and relevance for target audiences* Independently address and incorporate client, peer review, and faculty author feedback on manuscript during development processEditorial functions* Ensure scientific/clinical accuracy of all pieces through global fact-check of referenced literature* Review and edit publication articles and layouts of supplementary content to identify inconsistences to finalize for print* Ensure publications are styled to AMA and in-house editorial styleContent support for live events* Represent company at professional events, meetings, and conferences (travel expectations are * Event (roundtable, advisory board, etc.) attendance and production of executive summaries for internal use* Production of high-quality editorial materials for external publication (i.e., articles, presentations, whitepapers) based on meeting and event functions; ensuring relevance for client and target audienceAdditional InformationMJH Life Sciences provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
