This key contributor will have the opportunity to work across the global finance and accounting organization to help us achieve our goals of being a best-in-class external reporting group. This role will have visibility to all aspects of annual and quarterly reporting and key responsibilities will include providing accurate and timely financial reports to Investor Relations, preparation of SEC filings, and ownership of our stock-based compensation and earnings per share reporting. - -The Associate Finance Manager, External Reporting will have high visibility within the global finance organization including interaction and exposure to the Senior Director, External Reporting, VP Finance/Accounting, Human Resources and General Counsel, and will work cross-functionally with other teams across the organization. This is an excellent role to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in - one of the world's largest pure-play fully integrated in vitro diagnostics companies that is improving healthcare outcomes and improving patient lives. This position can be located in Waltham MA, Raritan, NJ, or Rochester, NY.The ResponsibilitiesOwnership of stock-based compensation and earnings per share reporting, including expense and share forecasting.Partner with FP&A for monthly and quarterly management reporting.Assist with preparation of SEC reporting documents (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, proxy filings, follow on equity offerings).Work across the organization to prepare detailed footnote support files.Assist in the review of the quarterly earnings release and support Investor Relations on quarterly earnings materials.Coordinate with external auditors to successfully support quarterly reviews and the annual audit.Collaborate with other members of finance in providing accounting guidance on complex and unusual transactions as needed.Participate in the month end close.Other ad hoc projects as required.Performs other work duties as assigned.The IndividualBachelor's Degree in Accounting.CPA required.Minimum 5 years of progressive professional experience in large public accounting firm with SEC clients, and industry experience at a public company with SEC reporting responsibilities.Familiarity with XBRL.Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including stock-based compensation accounting.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to interact with all levels of management.Demonstrated problem solving ability (identify problems and develop/implement solutions).Ability to take ownership and drive projects/issues to completion.Knowledgeable in IT systems - SAP and Solium, or equivalent, -preferred.Experience in Sarbanes Oxley and process improvements preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.EOE/AA Disability/Veteran#LI-JP1
