The Purpose, Role Definition, and Requirements: The WHY and WHAT
for a Marketing Transformation Consultant
Location: East Coast, North America
We are currently seeking a transformation program consulting to
drive multiple marketing change initiatives within our corporate
marketing team.
This position will support a brand re-fresh initiative, content
development for internal and external marketing assets, internal
and external website refresh, space brand refresh, etc.
Support the Brand Strategy and Identity Design team. This includes
work on brand identity/guidelines, design, and limited production
of core assets for marketing and management of change
Support Client Communications related to brand refresh.
Support Internal Brand Activation project (including events,
communications, etc.)
Support Training refresh in line with new brand narrative and
guidelines
Contribute to the writing of multiple internal communications
assets (e.g., newsletters, messaging, explainer videos, web
content, etc.)
Support external brand activation. This includes External brand
campaign production; Website refresh projects, external public
relations, and communications, Social Media, brand tracking, etc.
--- Support Physical Space Brand Activation. This includes: office
asset audit, refresh planning,
production, and installation of all refreshed brand assets across
20 North American office locations.
Desired Education and Experience
Background in supporting complex marketing projects similar to
those described above.
Excellent writing and storytelling skills. MUST be able to write
compelling communications and content. (If you don't love to read,
this might not be the right role for you.)
Flexibility is key. Must have demonstrated an ability to adapt to
complex and emerging situations and environments.
Should have some demonstrated experience with project management
(formal is preferred, but the information is OK too). This includes
working at pace to achieve milestones and deliverables on time,
reporting, and project communications (e.g., status, etc.).
Must be curious, and interested (and interesting) to successfully
bring new perspectives to the team.
Must be willing to work across an internal and external team
comprised of representatives from different business groups and
partner companies.
This brand refresh program is complex, high-impact, and evolving.
The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and
demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and good humor as the program
progresses.
Must demonstrate a background of strong story-telling. This can be
demonstrated via prior experience in creative writing, journalism,
history, anthropology, marketing, corporate communications, etc.
Writing samples will be required (but please be careful not to
violate any confidentiality covenant).
This position will provide support for multiple projects within the
overall change initiative. The successful candidate will be able to
self-manage activities and balance attention across multiple
demands.
Should have a Bachelor's degree or applied experience in marketing,
communications, media production, journalism, creative writing,
etc. Creative MBAs with relevant experience are encouraged to
apply.
Experience in consulting, technology, and/or software
companies.
