Job Description:
*Key Responsibilities** Multitasks in a fast paced, high volume
work environment, pivoting priorities and reconfiguring timelines
on a daily basis* supports and demonstrates best practices for
e-mail marketing execution and management, as well as for other
forms of audience engagement (e-newsletters, community updates,
etc)* Keeps current with marketing automation platforms and
processes; technical standardization; best practices; and
technology and market trends* develops, maintains, and administers
professional skills training for select staff users of enterprise
marketing automation* Provides program coordination and
maintenance* Performs campaign design, development, optimization,
operations, and trafficking* Works with internal customers to
ensure intake process is followed and project requests include
necessary information to execute standalone campaigns or robust
marketing automation programs* Manages Technical Activities' daily,
weekly, and monthly campaign calendars to ensure optimal
collaboration among internal customers, editorial, and list
management teams* Performs daily e-mail marketing activities
involving campaign initiation, set-up, scheduling, testing, and
deployment of one-time, recurring, scheduled, or triggered e-mail
campaigns* As needed, creates and selects content for emails,
display ads, and newsletters* Creates brand- and privacy- compliant
assets* Assists select internal customers (staff) with building
e-mail campaigns and list (database) selection* Maintains relevant
documentation used by internal support staff, internal customers,
and campaign initiators* Conducts testing and ensures quality*
Checks daily seed and mini seed tests to assure brand conformance
and content quality* Develops and tests supported landing pages
(includes quality assurance, ensuring leads are captured through
proper forms, and maintaining automated journeys)* Business
Analysis and Reporting* Analyzes campaign and display ad program
reports generated and identifies key data to drive improvement for
existing/new marketing strategies* Creates and maintains e-mail
reports or dashboards for analysis of individual and recurring
marketing outreaches; conducts A/B testing and provides test
results to various internal customers to drive highly-targeted
segmentation, delivery and content decisions* Acts as a thought
leader for metrics, reporting, analysis and insights providing and
implementing improvements to data collection, reporting, and
analyses process* Tracks performance metrics and ensures that
internal customers get the right insights they need to develop
increasingly better-performing campaigns* Business Development and
Support* Suggests communications strategies to Technical Activities
staff and volunteer leaders* Assists with campaign design, and
provides content element recommendations to improve response*
Research and development - actively seeks ways that e-mail and user
engagement programs can help internal customers meet objectives and
solve problems* Maintains customer relationships and identifies
ways to further develop existing programs, and/or introduce new
strategies of reaching target audiences* Dispenses day-to-day work
assignments and training for additional campaign support via a
dotted line reporting structure* Occasional travel may be
requested, for training/industry currency in addition to supporting
team activities or connect with staff/volunteers about our programs
and capabilities*Qualifications**Education** Bachelor's degree or
equivalent experience Bachelor's degree in Business or
Marketing/Communication, Management, Computer Science or other
technology field preferred (equivalent experience in lieu of degree
will be considered) Req*Work Experience** 4-7 years Minimum years
related work experience Req* Must have experience in campaign or
email marketing communication administration or analysis,
customer/client service, HTML coding, and demonstrated
understanding of eCommerce technologies (platforms, recommendation
engines, etc.) and key trends (mobile, social, SEO, etc.), list
services, CRM or other demographic understanding Req* Experience
with Marketing Automation Platforms, preferably Marketo. Requires
experience in nurturing leads, performing drip campaigns, and
building/measuring marketing campaigns that boost customer
retention and enhance the overall customer journey Req* Experience
with Smartsheets Pref* Experience with data analytics and
visualization tools, such as Tableau Req* Demonstrated experience
in these areas a strong plus: Project scheduling, Data analysis,
Customer relationship management tools, Web development and graphic
design Pref*Skills and Requirements** Demonstrated skills or
interst in these areas preferred: Direct marketing, Marketing
communication, Email marketing and analysis, Campaign planning,
Project management, Process improvement, management, Digital
Analytics (Google/Webtrends) Advanced* Working knowledge of global
data privacy regulations and required compliance Advanced* Passion
for service, a customer focus and an analytical orientation
Advanced* Proficiency in desktop applications required: M/S Office
Suite, Internet, E-mail, strong Excel skills Advanced* Hand-code
and debugging skills with HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop (or
equivalent); Ability to troubleshoot Advanced* Willingness and
ability to learn and apply new tools, technologies, and working
strategies Advanced* Knowledge of content creation and launch
strategies Advanced* Highly-driven to seek opportunities to
improve/optimize internal processes Advanced* Interpersonal Skills:
Critical to the success of this position is the ability to
collaborate effectively with internal (staff) and external
(business unit representatives, volunteers) constituents on
goal-oriented projects and tasks Advanced* Experience with virtual
collaboration tools helpful (VOIP, web meeting, online communities,
etc) Advanced* Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Advanced* Experience in scheduling and making timely independent
decisions Advanced* Working knowledge of testing tool software and
proficiency in marketing automation technology highly desirable
Advanced* Knowledge of brand communication and digital marketing
Advanced* Sound presentation skills; May be asked to effectively
conduct small meetings or training sessions (10 or less). Advanced*
Strong oral and written communication skills; Brevity and clarity
essential. Must present ideas in a clear, concise, and meaningful
fashion. As this is a high contact, client interface role - brief
written communications include clear actions, agreements and
deliverables; Must be able to effectively communicate in English
with staff, and occasionally volunteers, who speak English as first
