Job Title: Offshore Wind Training Instructor for Native American Tribes Individuals

Place of Performance: Virtual/Online courses

Job Summary: Sanford Federal, Inc. is looking for an Instructor to perform Offshore Wind Training courses online.

Training Requirements:
Sanford Federal requires that all classes be conducted as one all-inclusive online course. The course will be conducted online with 24 contact hours to an estimated audience of 35 attendees.
The candidate will work with the company to develop a pre-course survey for the company to send to the Tribes to assess their specific interests and determine if any modifications need to be made to previously developed course modules.
The Candidate will review and analyze the results of this survey and present them to Sanford Federal. The relevant training modules will be supplemented with content from the pre-course survey and content communicated to the candidate.
Any modifications to the training content based on the input from the Tribal members will be discussed and agreed upon with Sanford Federal.
To increase flexibility for attendees, some elements of the course may be conducted after work hours (e.g., weekends) and spread out over a duration no longer than two calendar weeks.
The course will be also recorded so that attendees can review the material at their leisure. Any planned breaks shall be no longer than 2 weeks. No training shall occur on Federal Holidays.

Course Outline:

The following course outline is the minimum content that will be considered. All quotations should provide a description of the course to be provided. The training will not include leasing, permitting, or regulations, which have already been identified as not relevant for this training. The course outline is as follows:
Offshore Wind Global Market - Brief history of offshore wind, current, and future.
Elements of an Offshore Wind Farm - Turbines, foundations, cables, offshore substation, and landfall.
Siting and Site Characterization - Geophysical and geotechnical surveys, wind resource assessment, and met-ocean studies.
Detailed Project Design - Process, drivers, selection, trends, and innovations.
Offshore & onshore transmission strategies and challenges.
Cabling.
Construction logistics and management.
Ports and vessels - requirements and innovations.
Operations and maintenance - activities and strategies.
Procurement strategies.
Monitoring - What is monitored and why.
Decommissioning.
Financing.
Offshore wind in the US - Outlook and lessons learned from Europe.

Objective:

Provide online training that will cover a range of topics including all aspects of offshore wind project lifecycle from development to decommissioning that are relevant to Native American Tribes.

The training program must:
Be online exclusively.
Accommodate up to 35 attendees.
Have at least 24 hours of course time with up to 2 hours of office hours for attendees.
