Summary: The Director of Business Pricing and Contract Analytics
will lead a team and oversee business analytics for payer, GPO and
IDN agreements, includes assessments for the development and
implementation of strategic pricing and contracting approaches for
Sun Pharma currently marketed and pipeline product portfolios.
Business units include Biologics, Cutaneous Oncology, Dermatology,
Ophthalmology and specialized products for Long Term Care. This
role requires a deep understanding of traditional and innovative
approaches to pricing, contracting and reimbursement across payers,
GPO’s IDN, specialty pharmacy and buy and bill. In addition, the
role required familiarity with operating regulations in commercial
and government segments across payer and practice settings.
Experience must include US pharmaceutical and biopharma pricing,
contracting and reimbursement strategies with commercial and
medical payers. Must have ability to work on cross functional teams
with demonstrated ability to influence colleagues through a
consultative process. Reporting into AVP, Market Access the leader
in this role will demonstrate executive-level experience managing
analytics, pricing and contracting dynamics, a strong aptitude for
hypothesis-driven analytics and outstanding problem-solving skills.
Previous experience leading an Analytics function within the Pharma
or Bio Pharma industry preferred. The role requires a leadership
style that can translate strategy into action and communicate the
results to senior/executive leadership in a timely manner through
disciplined management and performance measurement.
Responsibilities: Develop Pricing and Contracting Strategy for
currently marketed in-line products, pipeline products or products
being evaluated for acquisition by overseeing financial modeling
and market access forecasting development required to implement
strategies. Lead and develop the Pricing and Contract Business
Analytics Team comprised of two Senior Managers, assign projects,
evaluate performance and ensure all contracting and pricing
activities are compliant with company policies. Responsible for
pricing and contracting governance, approval, and communication to
executive/ senior leadership managed through Contract Pricing
Review Committee Designing and developing pricing models to
evaluate the impact of pre- and post-launch strategies, including
ASP, AMP, and best price, and making recommendations for
adjustments when necessary Supporting brand financials and GTN
management across contracts and patient support program designs
Manages Contract Scorecard Process to assess post deal analysis for
all Commercial, Medical, GPO, IDN and Government contracts Ensuring
creation and timely upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures for
Pricing development and operations process Education &
Qualifications: BA or B.S. Degree with concentration in business
administration, finance, marketing or engineering degree is
preferred. Advanced Degrees are preferable. 10 years of progressive
experience in Contracts, Pricing or Market Access within the
pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceutical industry Prior leadership
roles in pricing, contracting/reimbursement, analytics and
forecasting development Strong analytical, problem solving and
business skills; with the ability to communicate effectively with
senior management Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint Strong
problem-solving skills, including the knowledge of source data
(e.g., Symphony and IQVIA,) with the ability to research complex
policy issues and lead quantitative analyses In-depth knowledge of
health care pricing, contracting and reimbursement practices and
regulatory requirements Knowledge and experience of ASP ,AMP , VA,
DoD, 340B price calculations dynamics is highly preferred Ability
to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced multi-tasking
environment including managing multiple projects with on time
completion The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range
for this position is $188,500 to $230,000. Actual base compensation
may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to
geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is
part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible
