Full TimeTo effectively plan, design, implement and improve manufacturing processes, methods, or procedures using new technology, designs, materials, and plant layout.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:--- Ensuring the effective introduction of new or revised product into manufacturing by interfacing between manufacturing and the engineering department.--- Working closely with suppliers to transition new product platforms into production--- Leading process improvements utilizing LSS methodology and philosophies to drive operation efficiency--- Controlling the production, maintenance/revision and distribution of all process and product management documentation/data required for manufacturing. Writing detailed work instructions for assembling complete products from issue of raw material through manufacture to final inspection.--- Fault finding, debugging, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures for all product manufacturing issues. Investigating, gathering, and analyzing data and implement solutions.--- Collaborate in DFM/DFME and PFMEA activities ensuring product can be integrated and assembled to the highest quality, lowest cost and best delivery possible.--- Ensuring the effective management and use of the engineering change process. Integrate/update bill of materials (BOM) as needed.--- Developing and implementing training to support manufacturing processes for both new product releases and changes of existing processes.--- Being a leader for change, engaging and influencing cross-functional teams to drive meaningful change that supports EHS, Quality, Service and Operational Efficiency--- Development and assembly of test fixtures, optimization, and validation--- Provide SME level support to all departments including production, R&D, Customer Service, and Sales.--- Providing effective management and leadership for the Quality Coordinator, --- Actively promote and participate in:--- . Provide quality control plan--- The adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and HR policies by ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and legislation.--- The pursuit and implementation of Teledyne Princeton Instruments' values and philosophy.--- Support the ongoing implementation of ERP positions may include duties beyond those outlined within a description or generally expected within business, but you are encouraged to raise questions about any task that may be outside your physical or professional capabilities.All Princeton Instruments' colleagues are expected to take responsibility to assure the safety of themselves and their colleagues, the security of company facilities and the protection of proprietary information or technologies. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE NEEDS: --- BE or ME in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer Engineering or similar, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment --- Objective oriented, solution focused, self-motivated and possess strong skills in planning, analysis and decision-making--- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral / written communication, and customer support skills.--- Practical mindset with a strong ability to read and interpret highly technical documents (e.g., schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, bills of material, routings, operating, maintenance, and job safety instructions/procedures) provided in verbal, written, or pictorial form--- Vacuum (UHV) and clean room experience highly desirable--- Proficient computer skills, such as, understanding computer programs, spreadsheets, and database.--- Experience in high tech manufacturing is preferred--- Experience with scientific cameras, spectroscopy, C#, Matlab, and Labview preferred--- ERP System Knowledge, Epicor or SAP preferred--- Experience in DFMEA, PMEA, DFM preferred--- Experience in ISO 9001-2015 and Lean Sigma tools and techniques, preferred--- Knowledge of Minitab or Excel Statistics, preferred--- Mechanical Design Experience with solid modeling tools such as Composer, Solidworks/Pro E preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: --- Shift varies between standing, walking, reaching, sitting, bending and lifting.--- Must be able to lift and carry components up to 40 lbs--- Must be capable of reading letters, numbers and symbols in fonts even smaller than 8-point.--- Must be able to operate computer equipment--- Must be able to travel via air both commercially and in business aircraft and operate motor vehicles including rental cars.
