L.J. Gonzer Associates is seeking multiple Mechanical Engineers
with engineering design experience to fill new temp-to-perm
openings with our client in Princeton, NJ. The Mechanical Engineers
will work collaboratively on US ITER Diagnostics projects, and
develop and manage design validation and verification plans. They
will maintain and improve Design Control procedures and compliance.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer: Develop analysis
models for projects related to energy source research. Produce
documentation that supports verification and validation activities.
Resolve issues in a timely manner to aid the progress of projects.
Work closely with the US ITER Diagnostics team leads, the US ITER
Project Office (USIPO) and the ITER Organization (IO) to ensure
timely project delivery. Ensure accurate and reliable planning for
project costs and scheduling. Adhere to planned cost and schedule
during the project execution phase. Support projects in the
development and implementation of design control plans. Design
control plans include: design review plan, inspection plan, and
test plan. Maintain compliance with USIPO and ITER process
requirements. Provide guidance and mentorship to other staff
members. Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer: A BS in
Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree. A MS in Mechanical
Engineering, or similar degree, is a plus. Twelve (12) years of
experience with engineering design and analysis, especially in a
highly regulated environment. Experience performing engineering
analysis, for example use of ANSYS. Effective written and oral
communication skills. Experience writing grants or proposals for
DOE funding, or similar experience, is a plus.
