Process Engineering Supervisor Summary
The Process Engineering Supervisor will manage and develop a group
of highly skilled process engineers in the field of scribe and
break, stacking, unstacking, visual inspection and passivation of
laser diode bar. This individual ensures the continued process
development of existing and new products as well as continuous
improvements on yields and quality.
Process Engineering Supervisor Principle Duties &
Responsibilities
Conduct business in a professional, respectful manner. Lead the
team by example, maintain high personal standards of job
performance and conduct
Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the group by
delivering on challenging safety, quality, cost and time
metric-based goals
Create and execute to production plans and budgets
Responsible for continuous process improvement and process
capability
Conduct standardized reporting and planning. This includes but is
not limited to annual budget and forecast, monthly key figures, new
product costing, capacity planning, investment justifications and
annual employee performance appraisals
Oversee quality data gathering and response mechanisms ensuring
root cause determination and permanent corrective actions for
critical quality concerns
Deploy TRUMPF standardized processes within the department
Support and organizes 24/5 manufacturing operations
Assist in reviewing business systems administration, resources,
procedures, and methods to improve operational effectiveness
Demonstrated leadership and supervisor ability, including
performance evaluations and disciplinary action
Address conflict situations immediately by seeking dialogue and
bringing people together
Train, coach, and mentor engineering personnel and provide
constructive feedback on a regular basis
Process Engineering Supervisor Education and Experience
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials
science or other relevant subject with 12+ years hands-on
industrial wafer fab experience. Master's degree with 10+ years' of
wafer fab experience preferred.
The candidate must be self-motivated, disciplined, organized,
honest, and systematic personality with an open-minded and
approachable attitude.
You must strive to optimize productivity and efficiency through
scheduling, capacity planning, inventory, and resource
management
At least 10 years of experience in a senior role in a semiconductor
manufacturing organization. Experience with scribe, break and
coating processes is desirable.
At least 5 years of experience managing at least 10 employees
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Previous experience with lean manufacturing and an ability to adapt
to a changing environment
Proven ability to successfully manage technical projects
Must excel at developing people, providing clear directions,
agreeing on objectives, and delivering honest and meaningful
feedback
