Job Description:

As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an Information Security Engineer to help our information Security team located in Raritan, NJ or Rochester NY. Reporting into the Senior Manager of Information Security, this resource will have responsibility for technical security engineering and operations of our server antivirus, firewall ACL review and approval, analyze, troubleshoot, and respond to a wide range of security requests covering all locations and the ability to communicate with all levels within the company. The position will assist the Senior Manager to assess, design, implement and provide ongoing information security services. The Information Security Engineer will also serve as a strong technical consultant to the enterprise business units, application, and technical teams. This is a very technical position and requires current experience and skills pertaining to the technology listed below.
The Responsibilities

• Maintain TrendMicro Workload Security, agents, troubleshooting, deployment, and migration.
• Operational support of Cisco Umbrella and Palo Alto Prisma Access
• Review firewall requests, sanitize requests to company standards and review with the approving manager.
• Solution architect and engineering requests for security engineering and solution architecting
• Ensures that information security deployments are properly architected, implemented, and have defined operational support.
• Troubleshooting application security issues, using Wireshark for packet captures
• Provide security consulting services, as needed, to various projects to ensure all information security needs are met.
• Work with minimal supervision and be responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions. Apply sound judgment, escalating issues and decisions to the appropriate executive when necessary.
  
  The Individual
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a preference in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other industry recognized information security credential are a plus.
  • Must have recently demonstrated experience with networks, endpoints, architecture, and solution engineering.
  • Must have the ability to analyze, document and assess complex corporate environments.
  • Must have a high degree of initiative, dependability and able to work with little supervision.
  • Must have current experience in information security with demonstrated technical experience with the following technologies:
    • Palo Alto Firewall v9/10, Prisma Access
    • Cisco routers, switches, VPN
    • Cisco Umbrella
    • Networking technology, routing, switches, subnetting, protocols
    • Windows Server 2019/2022 / Linux servers RHEL7/8
    • Windows 10
    • Office 365/Azure
    • VMware ESXI
    • Cloud Flare
    • TrendMicro Deep Security or Workload Security
      • Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner. Ability to work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical
      • High level of personal integrity, ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and reflect appropriate level of judgment and maturity is required.
      • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision is required.
      • Must have the ability to recognize opportunities for change and act as a catalyst for change management.
      • Effective project management skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is required.
