Senior Analyst Data Management will lead IT initiatives driving
implementation and adoption of Data Catalog as the central metadata
repository of our Data Products. You will partner with global and
regional Data & Analytics teams to identify & catalog key data
sets, manage metadata and own Data Catalog platform. The candidate
will do hands on design, prototyping and build of data catalog &
metadata capabilities, working with data engineers, solution
architects and business partners. Sr. Analyst will develop a keen
understanding of data & analytics business opportunities and factor
these into decisions and recommendations for data catalog
implementation. Sr. Analyst will forge collaborative partnerships
across Data & Analytics team and business leaders to build and
scale the organizations use of data and advanced analytics
technologies to optimize our investments and predict market
actions. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of metadata
management and data catalog product ownership enabling findable,
accurate & reliable metadata across the business domains. Enable
operations of the catalog platform including operational
monitoring, user access, bulk loads of metadata, management &
evolution of catalog templates and platform upgrades. Configure and
maintain various templates including data dictionary, business
glossary, metrics glossary, articles, etc. Establish & maintain
metadata connectors across the data lake universe, extract & manage
metadata Develop and publish catalog metric and usage, measure &
drive adoption Work closely with the Business Analytics leaders to
understand needs of the business; clearly articulating the story of
value created through data catalog & technology.
QualificationsUndergraduate degree in Technology, Computer Science,
applied data sciences or other related fields; advanced degree in
related fields preferred. 2+ years of hands-on experience with one
or more data catalog platforms (Alation, Informatica, Collibra,
etc.) 2+ years of experience managing data & metadata, data
stewardship and/or data governance across various business domains
Demonstrated strength in examining issues, driving resolution &
influencing effectively across the organization. Ability to
challenge the status quo in technology & architecture. Superb
interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written), including
the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to
business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
Hands-on expert with Active Directory, API connection management,
Linux/Windows-based platforms, SQL in a cloud environment (AWS,
Azure, GCP). Experience with visualization and dashboarding
software Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc. Keen attention to detail
and ability to access impact of design or coding changes prior to
implementation Proven track record leading multiple high-profile
projects with demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and
working with defined resources. Ability to estimate required effort
and prioritize work items appropriately. Agile methodology
practitioner; ability to define and implement prototypes and MVPs /
RATs, experience working in Scrum/Kanban is required. At Johnson &
