This role is for a Digital Capability Manager, Solutions Architect within the Business Applications Team supporting Enabling Functions. Solutions Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and design activities related to the development of Enabling Functions Business Applications specific solutions architecture across the digital capability investment portfolio. This individual creates deliverables for the EF portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions including shared application services, shared infrastructure services, and information components to better match targeted business outcome objectives. The solution architect owns the solution strategy and life-cycle of the technical assets within their domain. This role contributes to the DCM Roadmap thought leadership and digital strategy of the company by collaborating with IT Plan leaders to identify strategic and innovative uses of technology, leveraging enterprise platforms and cloud solutions to drive business growth and profitability. This role leads and works with a matrix team of solution architects, business analysts, and developers and possesses domain experience in Business Applications to propose solution alternatives within the context of the business drivers. As a DCM, the role is also accountable for the service delivery and support of Business Applications capabilities across Enabling Functions including; Philanthropy, Legal, Compliance & Ethics, Employee Health Services, and others. The Digital Capability Manager will closely partner with IT service providers, application vendors, BMS IT teams (IT Plan, Identity, Service Integration, Cyber Security, External Partner etc.) and business functions to ensure proper ongoing operations, as well as delivering new, or enhanced capabilities. The Digital Capability Manager is accountable for the successful end to end delivery of IT services, innovation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on excellence in service delivery. Associate Director, Digital Capability Management, Solutions Architect, I.T. Business Applications Responsibilities: Develops and maintains forward looking strategy for each solution. In partnership with Primary DCM, leads the development and implementation on projects, partnering with business stakeholders, IT Business Partners and Capability Delivery colleagues to define, plan for, prioritize, deliver & support strategic digital capabilities and ensure maximum value is achieved.-- Ensures solutions satisfy business needs, are appropriately aligned with BMS Enterprise Architecture and industry standards, and are engineered to be reliable, cost effective, scalable, and sustainable throughout the expected lifecycle.-- In partnership with Primary DCM, manages the delivery of internal and external technical teams including solution architecture definition, technical design, development, testing, integration, and deployment.-- Authors and/or reviews technical documentation including solution architecture, technical design, detailed design, and IQ/OQ documents.-- Develops technical proof-of-concepts including hands-on development and analysis as required Leads the identification and evaluation of new technologies, delivery methods (e.g., SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), and application development methodologies and supporting toolsets. Collaborate with Business and IT Plan functions to develop solutions for business problems including defining business requirements, provide project timelines and budget, develop acceptance criteria, testing, training, and change management plans. Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Data Architecture teams to develop and execute data architectural strategies for Enabling Functions capabilities Monitor, review, and approve SOWs, Service Orders, Quotes, PSAs from service providers and manage purchase requisition and invoicing process. Monitor IT service provider resource consumption, review demand and change requests for support work related to custom applications. Establishes and measures unit performance metrics, and ensures IT delivery resources are appropriately engaged to meet project commitments. Participate in Security Risk Assessments and Application Vulnerabilities Assessments reviews and remediation across the Corporate Application portfolio landscape. Key Skills and Qualifications BS (required), Major in CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent. MS or related advanced degree is a plus 10+ years' experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or financial industry with demonstrated success in delivering and supporting SaaS and custom-built solutions and managing/partnering with software vendors and service providers. . Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives Familiar with Agile, and Cloud Based Solutions preferred Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly articulate strategic capabilities and direction, status of requests and issues both with IT Business Partner Organizations and core functional teams. Excellent collaboration skills, with the confidence to both influence and partner to build strong relationships with IT colleagues, business partners, external technology partners and service providers. Experience with creating Wire Frames and Business Process Flows. Experience with creating architectural diagrams/understanding of infrastructure setups/managing deployments ranging with varying complexities. Experience with reviewing MSA, SaaS Agreements, SOWs, PSAs and other contractual documents. Experience with AWS platform and third-party SaaS products preferred.
