This person would have strong innovative, entrepreneur and product
development skills to work with business domain experts in our
Research and Development team to connect, lead, shape and deliver
new insights and have direct impact to Patients and Medical
Devices. The role requires a broad knowledge of existing analytics
and advanced analytics solutions, experience with a variety of
structured and unstructured data sources in the healthcare field,
the ability to collaborate closely and influence others in an
ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, creativity to invent,
customize and work in a multidisciplinary environment to drive
business solutions and exposure to new technologies in data and
analytics (e.g. IOT, advanced analytics, data mining, advanced

Responsible & management of R&D D&A Advanced Analytics &
Intelligent Automation solutions
Manages R&D Capabilities roadmap in line with business & BTL
prioritization, enabling capabilities & new services
Drives delivery of program work and interdependencies in an
optimized manner to realize business value
Lead the identification and development of innovative and flexible
analytics capabilities to provide strategic insights to our
business to drive performance, growth, and competitive
Collaborate closely with other Product Lines, Enterprise Architects
and Technology Services to manage key capabilities e.g.,
High-Performance Compute, Virtual Engineering, Data Catalog, Data
Virtualization, Data Fabric, Data Engineering, etc.
Provide strategic leadership to influence and apply integrated
approach to accelerate our ability to meet dynamic business
Provide technology leadership in analytics to shape and design
solutions and deliver effective user-centric and intuitive
analytics tools and dashboards. Drive self-service analytics models
Supervises team of resources who work with the business to shape
Data and Analytics requirements and deliver solutions using Agile
IT sprint cycles in multiple Agile Scrum workstreams.
Maps out complex business processes to serve as reference for
development of end-to-end solutions and advocates for business
process simplification where appropriate to deliver robust and

Accountable for application support of Data Analytics platforms via
Service Level Management with Application Service teams.
Accountable for the Solution Reviews and driving Design decisions,
technical approvals across the application area, and alignment of

Partners with IT Security & Risk Management, legal, GxP, SOX,
privacy teams to meet J&J policy and procedures. Address
complex problems with broad implications for IT architecture,

A Bachelor's degree, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences,
Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning &
Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics, or a related subject
area is required.
At minimum of 7 years of experience in design, development, and
management of data life cycle for analytics applications using data
warehouses/ data lakes or end-to-end automation
Experience in leading complex data solutions in an Agile/Scrum,
Cloud based environment, and deployments at a global scale on
platforms such as Cloudera, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft
Hands-on technical knowledge of analytics solutions, platforms, and
software technology as it applied to business process and business
Experience working across multiple levels of an organization,
leadership skills, creating context around key business drivers and
Strong Business Sense & Communication skills. Demonstrated ability
to work with business partners to understand business requirements
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing
priorities, multiple partners, multi-functional teams, and evolving
Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build

Demonstrated experience working across multiple franchises in a

Demonstrated working experience with advanced analytics, big data
and statistical analysis and data science.
Life sciences, health care industry, and/or R&D experience.
In-depth knowledge and experience delivering solutions to support
R&D experiences for healthcare providers.
Identifying and crafting areas of opportunity in support of
Experience working with external partners, customers, and data
Experience working with Application Services, Global Technology
Services, and key vendors
Demonstrated working experience with advanced analytics,
statistical analysis, and modelling
