This person would have strong innovative, entrepreneur and product development skills to work with business domain experts in our Research and Development team to connect, lead, shape and deliver new insights and have direct impact to Patients and Medical Devices. The role requires a broad knowledge of existing analytics and advanced analytics solutions, experience with a variety of structured and unstructured data sources in the healthcare field, the ability to collaborate closely and influence others in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, creativity to invent, customize and work in a multidisciplinary environment to drive business solutions and exposure to new technologies in data and analytics (e.g. IOT, advanced analytics, data mining, advanced visualization).

You will lead the design and build of the R&D data foundation (backbone) to reduce integration costs, drive data consistency, and enhance integration value. You will build new data & analytic capabilities with internal and external data to drive insights for all partners.

Working closely with the R&D BTL and business partners to find opportunities for applying Analytics to address business challenges, gain new insights to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes. Responsible for delivering of R&D data analysis products and platforms. Work with complex, high-dimensional data and work to integrate and analyze data sets. Leading project teams, elicit needs, and act in a leadership role as a trusted business partner. Working with other business units to map business requirements into technical solution and deliver results. Implement data & analytics solutions according to D&A standards. Demonstrate existing NA data & analytic solutions.

Responsible & management of R&D D&A Advanced Analytics & Intelligent Automation solutions
Manages R&D Capabilities roadmap in line with business & BTL prioritization, enabling capabilities & new services
Drives delivery of program work and interdependencies in an optimized manner to realize business value
Lead the identification and development of innovative and flexible analytics capabilities to provide strategic insights to our business to drive performance, growth, and competitive advantage.
Collaborate closely with other Product Lines, Enterprise Architects and Technology Services to manage key capabilities e.g., High-Performance Compute, Virtual Engineering, Data Catalog, Data Virtualization, Data Fabric, Data Engineering, etc.
Provide strategic leadership to influence and apply integrated approach to accelerate our ability to meet dynamic business needs
Provide technology leadership in analytics to shape and design solutions and deliver effective user-centric and intuitive analytics tools and dashboards. Drive self-service analytics models and solutions.
Supervises team of resources who work with the business to shape Data and Analytics requirements and deliver solutions using Agile IT sprint cycles in multiple Agile Scrum workstreams.
Maps out complex business processes to serve as reference for development of end-to-end solutions and advocates for business process simplification where appropriate to deliver robust and cost-effective solutions.
Ensure successful business product owner engagement and completion of user acceptance testing
Accountable for application support of Data Analytics platforms via Service Level Management with Application Service teams.
Accountable for the Solution Reviews and driving Design decisions, technical approvals across the application area, and alignment of scope for all types of releases in end-to-end product lifecycle.
Partners with IT Security & Risk Management, legal, GxP, SOX, privacy teams to meet J&J policy and procedures. Address complex problems with broad implications for IT architecture, balancing the often-competing needs of standardization and innovation.

A Bachelor's degree, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics, or a related subject area is required.
At minimum of 7 years of experience in design, development, and management of data life cycle for analytics applications using data warehouses/ data lakes or end-to-end automation
Experience in leading complex data solutions in an Agile/Scrum, Cloud based environment, and deployments at a global scale on platforms such as Cloudera, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
Hands-on technical knowledge of analytics solutions, platforms, and software technology as it applied to business process and business strategy.
Experience working across multiple levels of an organization, leadership skills, creating context around key business drivers and strategic plan.
Strong Business Sense & Communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with business partners to understand business requirements and strategy
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, multiple partners, multi-functional teams, and evolving needs.
Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative partnerships, teams, and trust across functions.
Demonstrated experience working across multiple franchises in a matrixed organization to drive the results
Ability to problem solve and think creatively about end-to-end solutions to meet a business or program need.
Demonstrated working experience with advanced analytics, big data and statistical analysis and data science.

Life sciences, health care industry, and/or R&D experience.
In-depth knowledge and experience delivering solutions to support R&D experiences for healthcare providers.
Identifying and crafting areas of opportunity in support of business strategies
Experience working with external partners, customers, and data providers
Experience working with Application Services, Global Technology Services, and key vendors
Demonstrated working experience with advanced analytics, statistical analysis, and modelling
