The Position The position will support the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of Information systems for all North American and Canadian affiliates including Sales and Marketing affiliates, Product Supply affiliates and the Research & Development facilities. This includes stakeholder relationship management with the relevant consumers of Infrastructure and Operations services in North America, and Canada as well as globally. The position is based at Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI), Princeton. Relationships Reports directly to the Senior Director, GITO Americas. This role will interface with all members of the North American IT organization, LATAM IT organization, Canada IT organization as well as with all IT personnel in the Americas affiliates. The role will interface with internal and external auditors and generally the Global IT and IT Security organizations. Direct management responsibility for all employees in the department supporting the product areas of Cloud and corporate infrastructure. Collaborate with the other Global IT Operations people leaders in the Cloud and Corporate infrastructure organization to support the product area and actively participate in the community (CoP) of people managers across GITO. Direct management responsibility for all employees (12 FTE) in the department supporting the product areas of Cloud and corporate infrastructure. Essential Functions * Attraction, onboarding and hiring * Identify and attract qualified candidates * Onboard new employees to the organization * Evaluate and ensure long term competency mix in the organization * Help build Agile, personal, and professional competencies * In cooperation with other People Leaders ensure the execution of the people side of the IT strategy * Help identify individual and team training needs * Help build training plans for individuals and Agile teams * Help build and maintain domain knowledge * In cooperation with the Release Train Engineers and Scrum Master, ensure long term capacity and capability planning * People/career development * Help individuals build their long-term career plan (Individual Development Plan) * Ensure vertical / horizontal progression possibilities and provide variety in job offerings * Facilitate mentoring/buddy schemes * Succession planning * Collect performance feedback from stakeholders * Coaching and mentoring * Coach and mentor employees on how to build and apply competences * Caretaking and motivation * Motivate, inspire, and support others - taking care of people * Reward and performance management * Evaluate performance of direct reports and provide feedback * Agree on salary changes and potential bonus schemas * Budgeting & Contracts * Own FTE related budget e.g., salary and training * Keep people cost updated * Responsible for the departmental planning and when needed support of the non-FTE budgeting process * Potentially Manage new and existing contracts for software and services * Facilitate cross-organisational knowledge sharing * Facilitate groups to help solve organisational challenges * Participate in and help drive Communities of Practice across the organization * Support transformation initiatives & Audits * Support and help the organisation eliminate unnecessary complexity * Coach and mentor employees on leadership competences and how to apply them in the organization * Support the agile transformation * Assists in and evaluates results of audits and assessments and participates in remediation * Administrative duties * Plan and negotiate personnel related activities e.g., leave * Keep personnel files updated e.g., leave, vacation, sickness, and special arrangements Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required. Development of People Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way. Qualifications * M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant field e.g., HR and Computer Science * A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible Computer Science, IT, programming/systems analysis or other related experience required. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred * Possibly certified SAFe Agilist * Certification in change management and coaching * Experience in Agile methodologies is preferred * 3+ years leadership experience from similar job * Fundamental knowledge of data networking architectures, technologies, and protocols * Fundamental Knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, HP-UX, and Linux * Fundamental Knowledge of Storage Solutions, Data Management Solutions, Archiving, Databases, and all Public Cloud (AWS, Azure), Network security technologies, including firewalls, routers, authentication mechanisms, IPSEC VPN and server hardening * Experience working with internal and external audit teams is an advantage to the role * Experienced with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and its implications on IT security control, process, and internal is an advantage to the role We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
