Reporting to the Director, Emerging Capability, this position is part of the Culture and Capability Development group within the Strategy, Innovation and Deployment (SI&D) organization. The Emerging Capability SR Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering training across the supply chain in the areas of emerging capabilities, in line with the SC Innovation strategy. This includes management of the training for manufacturing for the future, touchless supply chain, holographic technology, advanced analytics, etc. This person will implement an ongoing strategy to ensure that the supply chain employees have the training and competencies necessary to succeed in the supply chain of the future. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring that all training Programs, Processes and vendors are in compliance with local, national and international regulations and standards as well as with all segment policies and processes and J&J Corporate requirements. He/she will be responsible for delivering said training programs in 21st century learning modalities measured against industry standards in support of SC business goals. He/she will direct the integration of course content, including the testing, technical evaluation and determination of programming changes and effectiveness. He/she will also work with the leadership development team to identify, certify and leverage coaches, thought leaders and influencers in the space of emerging capabilities. This person will need maintain an outside-in perspective to ensure we are learning the latest advancements in innovation while maintaining a deep understanding of the people can capabilities of the J&J supply chain. With that, it will be critical that this person has a depth of technical knowledge in supply chain, as well as experience in adult learning, and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization as well as external suppliers. Manage training program execution in the areas of emerging capabilities for SC personnel
Maintains effective and efficient Training Programs including content and delivery mechanisms.
Manages program KPI reporting and analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
Manages Learning vendor engagement and owns team budgeting and variance analysis.
Ensures that all aspects of the Training Programs are compliant to all applicable regulations and standards as well as franchise policies and processes and J&J Corporate requirements.
Ensure all personnel that act as a trainer are qualified, including the assessment of knowledge, experience and self-sufficiency Establishes sustainable solutions for all aspects of the training programs.
Advises Leadership of program status as well as trends in the program effectiveness, and recommends responses and solutions based on sound analysis and frequent monitoring
Benchmark against industry standards to ensure curriculums are state of the art in content and delivery Interface with content developers and suppliers as a technical expert to ensure that Enterprise design standards are met.
Stay abreast of latest emerging capabilities and content technology.


A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or Education, Master's Degree preferred.
Certifications in adult learning highly preferred.
Training Within Industry knowledge or certification is preferred.
8 years' experience of work experience in Supply Chain or related required.
5 years of experience in developing and delivering adult training curriculums preferred.
Experience with Learning Management Systems and Learning providers required.
Understanding of Supply Chain process and skills.
Knowledge and experience with adult learning.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to translate innovation vision into an assessment and understanding of skill gaps.
Approximately 20% domestic and international travel, with peaks depending on business priorities.
