• Be a technical resource to all professionals in the firm
• Keep up technically and disseminate information to tax professionals and the remainder of the firm as appropriate
• Establish and monitor policies and procedures to ensure adherence to professional standards and Circular 230
• Evaluate and determine tax research resource needs such as software and research materials
• Service a book of clients
• Consult with other professionals within the firm on technical tax matters
• Assist in the design, instruction, and evaluation of in-house CPE and training
• Partner with firm operations group on Tax CPE requirements
• Assist all client service teams as needed (i.e. manager level review of files, participating as a subject matter expert, etc.)
• Develop strategic business development plan anticipating new tax service needs
• Write articles and newsletters to disseminate tax law changes and issues to clients and prospective clients
  
  Requirements:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Must hold CPA or JD license
  • Advanced degree in Taxation (Master of Science in Taxation (MST) or Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.))is strongly suggested
  • Must have deep and wide-ranging technical skills covering a variety of areas
  • Must be skilled at tax planning and consulting
  • Must possess above average computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with particular skills in building financial models in Excel
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in written format. A strong command of the English language and grammar is necessary
