This team comprises a variety of global roles and focus areas, including operations, engineering, process development and innovation, procurement, network operations, project management, factory performance & reliability, packaging, continuous improvement, and supply chain management.Join our team in Piscataway, NJ!The Category Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and coordinating Procurement Strategies related to key raw materials and their suppliers within the Personal Care category. They will lead key global negotiations. This position must play a key role in driving collaborative partnerships with division procurement and various CP functions and suppliers. This role leads cross divisional opportunities and knowledge sharing. This role also drives Fund the Growth, Flexibility Everywhere Program, Quality and Customer service.The role works within a structure that requires considerable cross-functional collaboration with the CMS, R&D, Global Supply Chain, Marketing, and Legal. They play a key role in integrating the supplier with Division Manufacturing, and is responsible for ensuring that the Supply Chain has the materials and services it needs to complete its mission and obligation to our customers.Responsibilities

• Leads key material strategies inter-divisionally by developing Global Initiatives for Key Spend Segments (i.e. Silicons, Alcohols, Esterquat etc).
• Develops and negotiates contracts for key materials or ensures the effective negotiation & contract development.
• Leads cross divisional opportunity and knowledge sharing and facilitates communities of practice for select materials.
• Develops and implements Global Funding the Growth Programs
• Partners with R&D and SC in pursuit of FTG and Innovation opportunities.
• Ensures the development of detailed understanding of Division market structure and drivers for materials and finds opportunities and threats for the future.
• Supervises supplier capacity for key materials and develops contingency plans.
• Partners with Divisional Procurement leaders to develop risk management/business interruption plans, as per corporate guidelines.
• Identifies and develops global sources of supply for key feedstocks materials.
• Partners with Divisional Procurement leadership to develop and implement strategies and emerging market sourcing.
• Manages cost models where appropriate.
• Develops together with CMS and R&D simplification initiatives in raw materials and formulation.
• Accountable for consolidating and supervising Procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related to Quality, Cost and Service for suppliers managed globally.
• Develops Strategic Partnerships with key suppliers. Attends Key Account "Top to Top" Meetings when necessary and presents purchasing performance and strategies.
• Leads the coordination of continuous improvement programs with suppliers (i.e. Supplier Engagement Program, Continuous Improvement Teams etc).
• Leads Global efforts in using "e-tools" (i.e. Global RFQ, Negotiation Tool Kit, Risk Management plant forms) to help drive Funding the Growth and Simplification and Standardization programs.
• Acts as a functional resource, providing support on task forces, acquisition studies, and major project support.
• Participates in external industry forums and internal Purchasing Council meetings. Shares external benchmark information for materials and process.
• Leads Make vs Buy initiatives or projects leading to strategic or FTG decisions.Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field.
