Success Profile:
A $3B+ multi-division public company is scouting experienced DC-Side Vendor Compliance talent for a new-to-be-created career opportunity on the Supply Chain Operations, Fulfillment and Logistics teams. The VENDOR COMPLIANCE DIRECTOR will work within the Supply Chain network directly with Company Vendors and Company Production teams to support excellence in vendor compliance including issue resolution, process implementation, all rules and requirements for labeling and packaging to ensure and optimize on-time processing. The most successful candidate will have a proven track record of working independently to design and implement KPI's (both creating and ensuring the full roll-out), reporting, procedures and productive relationships across ALL divisions with critical departments to create change that adds and optimizes efficiencies.

This is an exciting time for a proven Vendor Compliance leader with seven (7) or more (+) years of proven success in optimizing VENDOR packing and Inbound/Receiving for a global fashion lifestyle apparel brand to join the team!

Dual Reporting to: VP Supply Chain Operations and VP Distribution
Brand/Product Focus: Global Brand Portfolio / Apparel, Accessories, Footwear
Business Sector: Wholesale/Retail/Licensing of Fashion Apparel & Consumer Goods
Location (On-Site): New Jersey Distribution Center Region - Carlstadt, Dayton, Edison, Monroe Areas

Key Accountabilities:
Travels by automobile throughout the New Jersey DC region to audit inbound shipments: labeling, cartons, ASN detail, on time, lead time, operational issues and vendor compliance
Analyzes data over various time frames to reduce non-compliance issues
Partners with Distribution management and Production leaders to communicate issues, findings, and feedback
Ensures that all issues are resolved in a way that allows for speed in finished goods receiving
Investigates, collects data, and processes all vendor violations for all distribution centers
Documents non-compliance issues, submits chargeback recommendations for approval
Participates in manufacturer and vendor reviews
Interacts with cross functional teams and drive efficiencies through collaboration
Creates a positive team dynamic and drives change within the process, adapts to the ever-changing business, and stays focused on the compliance requirements
Leverages exceptional communication skills: written and verbal, analytical and problem solving skills
Supports and assists problem solvers from other departments

Education and Experience:
Seven (7) years of experience in Inventory Control or Inbound/Receiving for a global fashion lifestyle apparel brand, required
Product-specific category experience in Apparel, Footwear and Accessories, required
Experience developing and leading continuous improvement initiatives
Confident, safe, licensed automobile driver with flexibility to conduct business travel between DC locations, regularly and as needed
College degree, or equivalent professional work experience, required

Technical skill proficiency: AS400/ACS, TMS, Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Reporting savvy: Confident ability to design, develop, create and utilize Business Intelligence Systems, ERP, Project Management tools
Metrics driven: Proven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using data
Physical fitness: Ability to stand/walk up to 12 hours per day; ability to lift 50-75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in both a team environment as well as independently, sometimes in ambiguous situations
Communication and collaboration excellence: confident, capable, engaging, highly effective cross-functional written/verbal communication, teaming and interpersonal skills with the critical ability to navigate the competing interests of key stakeholders
