Director, Worldwide Value & Access - Early Assets & Business
Development, will provide value, access, and pricing considerations
in a systematic way into in the Bristol Myers Squibb's governance
process to maximize the value of the BMS portfolio and life cycle
management.The Director will develop comprehensive early markets
access strategies within their assigned therapeutic areas; key
activities include strategic access input into the governance
process to determine where to play and how to win in the context of
evolving drug pricing reforms in a complex market access
environment with high level of uncertainty for Early Assets and
Business Development.The Director will report into the Senior
Director, Worldwide Value & Access for Early Assets & Business
Development and will join a highly professional and motivated team
who's constantly looking for ways to further support the of the
business franchises.Job DescriptionInform the future VAP strategy
for new compounds, as guided by the therapy area Senior Director,
by ensuring optimal clinical development strategies are being
assessed and define a set of mitigation activities and evidence
generation plan to address key market access and pricing
challengesLead activities to support Early Assets and Business
Development requests from the Senior Director and matrix partners
and collaborate with the Market Access Strategy Leads prior to
GT5Leverage the Early Asset and DEAL frameworks and Early Access
Review Checklists (EAR) to execute early assets considerations and
support business development due diligence assessmentsBuild and
establish internal relationships and enhance interactions with
stakeholders in both field based functional market roles as well as
senior worldwide management. We are looking for an exceptional
candidate who is inclusive, focused, ambitious, decisive and
motivated by high goalsMonitor the evolving external environment
and synthesize input to inform Market Access strategies to ensure
that VAP/HEOR considerations are included in protocol design (e.g.,
relevant endpoints, comparator, dosing, study population,
subpopulation of interest) as well as the development of mitigation
activities in collaboration with the cross-functional team (WW
Pricing, WW HEOR, WW Medical & Local Markets)Influence across the
enterprise, creating effective and sustainable relationships within
the matrix and positively inform strategic development and
commercialization decisions and determine a set of criteria to
selected early assetsThe position is cross-functional in nature and
is part of a highly matrixed organization and the Director will
partner with cross-functional VAP/HEOR teams as well as with
extended teams (Commercial, Medical, Biomarker, Regulatory,
Clinical, Advocacy, Policy, Business Insights & Analytics WW leads)
as well as the relevant individual market stakeholders across the
world to optimally position BMS products for success in an
increasingly challenging and evolving WW access landscapeBuild and
establish Access Biomarker strategies and inform tactical execution
within the matrix teamsCollaborate with WW Value & Segmentation
Marketing and WW "in region" Market Access to prepare for the
operational execution of the WW Market Access strategy: training of
key markets and early launch markets through VAP meeting & Local
interactions, support for the initiation of the Early Access
Strategy and Evidence Generation PlanEnsure that all recommended
Market Access activities comply with regulatory agencies, public
policies/guidelines, and with corporate/legal policies and
procedures and if required, lead a team of
peopleRequirements:Minimum of 8+ years' Market Access experience
with an exceptional track record in Market Access, Pricing or HEOR
in WW and/or local marketsStrong understanding of the current and
emerging global Market Access environment in our therapeutic areas
of interest with experience in taking multiple products to market
and developing HTA strategiesHighly specialized technical expert,
highly specialized Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement
expertise, knowledge of rapidly emerging HTA systems and data
requirementsComprehensive knowledge of the drug development &
commercialization process, HTA assessment methodologies, global
reimbursement environment, and regulatory requirements an in-depth
understanding of payers and their perspective in the key WW
marketsSolid scientific background, preferably within hematology
and/or oncology, enabling the assessment of trial design impact on
payer strategies and the ability to challenge clinical development
or medical affairs or other relevant stakeholders with the ability
to identify relevant clinical endpoints and plan for outcomes
research in the early phases of clinical trial developmentAbility
to identify key product advantages in the context of market
requirements and provides key ideas for developing individual value
stories around BMS productsExcellent strategic thinking and
written/oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to formulate
future Market Access strategy scenarios and lead cross-functional
teams, with or without formal authority, to act on these
scenariosProven ability to translate scientific/clinical value into
economic valueDemonstration of all BMS Core BehaviorsUndergraduate
degree required, MBA and/or post graduate degree preferredAround
