This role will be a "player-coach" position reporting to the Director Global Storage Hosting Infrastructure Services.As Associate Director Global Storage you will work alongside platform engineers, VMware admins, security, and backup/recovery teams.Responsibilities will include technical design, implementation, operation, maintenance and management of 7x24x365 storage service provider of enterprise storage solutions. Administration of highly available enterprise Network Attached storage solutions and Support internal private and external S3 cloud technologiesIn-Depth knowledge of EMC, NetApp, SAN / NAS / Object storage technologies, familiarity with IBM and Pure a plus.Detailed understanding of storage performance, high availability, resilience, and business continuityUnderstanding of S3 cloud Storage conceptsKnowledgeable regarding storage replication concepts e.g. EMC RecoverPoint replicationIn-depth understanding of SAN technologies from Brocade/CiscoThorough knowledge on concepts of networking, virtualization, and operating systems solutionsScripting and REST API AutomationKnowledge of IP storage networking conceptsProvide weekly & monthly reports across all solutions e.g. Capacity PlanningOversee the successful implementation of N-1 patching and firmware upgradesProvide support in the configuration and integration of ITIL tools (ideally ServiceNow).Experience managing storage in a biopharmaceutical enterprise environmentStorage Network designMonitor change management and provide approvalsDynamic Interpersonal skillsExcellent Communication skillsProject Leadership - Subject Matter ExpertThe ideal candidate will need to demonstrate:A Deep technical skill in data Storage technologies and Service infrastructure, ability to think tactically and strategically about solutions to business, product, and technical challenges. Will have significant experience with Storage performance monitoring tools such as Dell EMC SRM and NetApp Logic Monitor. Will have deep technical knowledge of Fabric switches, storage protocols e.g. block/NAS/Object, replication technologies, life-cycle management and OEM management.Be able to use professional knowledge and problem determination / source identification skills to resolve problems involving storage infrastructure globally, network, security and infrastructure issues alike. If unable to resolve, will triage and route the incident to the appropriate level of support.The candidate will be experienced with the ITIL processes of Incident (including Critical Incident Management), Problem, Change management and Integrated Service Level Management.Required Technical and Professional Expertise:Minimum Level: 10+ years supporting enterprise storage and data-protection solutionsProfessional experience managing/operating production enterprise storage with managed service providerMonitoring and Reporting storage infrastructureHands on experience with the EMC / NetApp management and reporting toolsGood grasp of fundamental security concepts with hands on experience implementing security controls and compliance requirementsExtensive experience using ITIL processes, ideally managed using ServiceNow.Willingness to serve in a 24x7 on-call cycle to manage escalations.Working knowledge of Biopharmaceutical regulatory requirements, qualification and validation of applications.Strong verbal and written communication skills (content creation such as whitepapers, proof of concepts, etc.).
