Ryder today!SummaryThe Senior Manager of Technology Strategy and
Governance will report to the VP of Transformation and Office of
the CIO and will be responsible for working with senior technology
leadership to develop and maintain a business-aligned technology
strategy, including the strategy itself, objectives and key results
(OKRs), artifacts supporting the strategy, and the tools to
enable/maintain the strategy. This individual will work with senior
leaders across technology to cascade the strategy down to the
individual technology teams to enable a cohesive technology
organization that executes in unison across common strategic
imperatives. This individual will be accountable for improving
existing technology governance and technology policy library to
enable the technology team to effectively execute on the set
strategy. Partnering with the Technology Leadership team, this
individual will also be responsible for helping set best practices
for managing external stakeholders that are vital to the successful
implementation of the agreed upon technology strategy, including
those in the Central Support Services and core businesses
functions. The Senior Manager of Technology Strategy and Governance
will also be responsible for developing meaningful technology
metrics to measure performance of the technology team against set
strategic and operational objectives. Finally, this individual will
help oversee key strategic initiatives as identified by the
Technology Leadership team and be responsible for their successful
implementation. This individual will be a change champion,
visionary, and will leverage critical knowledge, skills, and
abilities in the areas of strategy, OKRs, business processes,
technology governance, and technology policy.Essential
FunctionsEstablish the scope of Ryder technology strategy by
defining the Technology organization's mission, vision statement,
and guiding principles. Perform an assessment of the Technology
organization's performance to map current state while highlighting
important strategic elements to address discovered gaps. Elicit the
business context and identify strategic initiatives that are most
important to the organization while building a cohesive technology
strategy roadmap to execute on it. Wrap all strategic information
into a highly visual and compelling presentation and practical
roamdap that enables easy customization and executive-facing
content. Communicate and be the champion of the Technology Strategy
across all levels and maintain the strategy going forward following
a set cadence with leadership.Optimize Technology Governance by
establishing leading best practices to foster technology-business
alignment, decrease decision-making cycle times, and increases the
Technology organization's transparency and effectiveness in
decisions around benefits realization, risks, and resources.
Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the Technology Governance
structure, and dynamically redesign Technology Governance structure
to account for changing industry conditions and strategic
objectives.Develop effective technology policies. Clearly
communicate and drive understanding across the Technology
organization behind set policy, goals and objectives,
standardization. Improve risk coverage; ensure full coverage on the
risk landscape, including legal regulations. Establish a method for
reporting, documenting, and communicating risks. Improve employee
compliance; empathize with the greater technology team and use
technology policy to effectively educate, train, and enable the
team to execute on the set strategy.Develop technology scorecard.
Perform current assessment to establish baseline values. Align
Technology Governance and decision making to the scorecard as a way
to measure progress against set strategic and tactical objectives.
Reinforce desirable actions guided by the technology scorecard.
Incorporate the Scorecard into the operations of the technology
team, helping provide governance to make use of the insights behind
the scorecard across all levels of the technology team and for the
entire spectrum of technology strategy.Optimize the stakeholder
management process to identify, prioritize, and effectively manage
key stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong relationships with
stakeholders across Ryder to gain easier buy-in and support for
current and future initiatives. Track ongoing stakeholder
management progress with a weighted Net Promoter Score as part of
the technology scorecard.Support technology leadership team with
planning and execution of strategic initiatives in line with agreed
upon strategy, including the development and oversight of business
cases, roadmaps, and tactical implementation plans.Build and mentor
a team to build out the technology strategy and governance
capability for Ryder technology.Additional ResponsibilitiesStays

across a broad scale of organizations, tools, and technologies,
with ability to drive strategy, and could also roll-up the sleeves
and switch to fair amount of tactical level detail/execution
requiredSeven (7) years or more Management consultant type
experience providing organizational change-management assistance,
process analysis, technology implementation, strategy development,
or operational improvement requiredThree (3) years or more
Experience working with executive leaders to develop strategy,
