Position Summary:
The Strategic Marketing Brand Manager participates in the development and oversees implementation and execution of a strategic marketing plan for ETS product lines designed to increase brand awareness and drive sales within key markets. This role leads and participates in the marketing team consisting of representatives from marketing communications, market research, sales, convention services, product management and product development. The incumbent is responsible for building and implementing marketing programs, monitoring customer needs, managing a marketing budget and gauging the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Additionally, the Strategic Marketing Brand Manager implements the marketing planning process for ETS product lines ensuring that the SBU, sales, operations and marketing align their strategies and timelines to meet future business objectives.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans relating to ETS products that incorporate effective brand strategies
  • Assist in the development of ETS business marketing plans and market strategy development for the US, in-line with the guidelines provided by ETS Princeton
  • Consulting for schools/institutions and test center network identification in the US; recruiting representatives of schools or similar organizations that influence the adoption of ETS tests as admission criteria
  • identify potential new business opportunities for ETS TOEFL which ETS may decide to take forward. working with partners, managing supply and other vendor networks to support effective and efficient operations and drive demand
  • Ensure that marketing communications are well-coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and meet divisional expenditure requirements
  • Coordinate the development and execution of the divisions marketing strategy together with the Business Development and Product Management groups
  • Review and evaluate market research to use in forecasting future marketing needs
  • Work closely with sales department to ensure effectiveness of lead generation programs and consistency of message
  • Create and maintain a competitive profile that includes all major competitors
  • Monitor results of marketing tests and incorporate results into marketing programs
  • Provide strategic input to SBUs on product concepts based on market knowledge
  • Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function
    Required Experience:
    Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:
    • B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing, Business Management or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired
    • MBA with Marketing concentration preferred
    • Preferred demonstrated knowledge and experience with the academic and commercial higher education sector in the US. Proven experience in leading marketing across B2B and B2C segments
    • Preferred 2-3 years experience in the higher education industry in the US
    • Strong knowledge of digital and OOH marketing tactics, analytics, measuring marketing performance a plus
    • Bi-lingual a plus
      Relevant Years of Experience:
      • Minimum 5 years of experience developing/implementing strategic marketing plans, product launches and related marketing programs is required.
        Other Requirements:
        • Must work well within a team structure
        • Strong knowledge of marketing concept and techniques to effectively develop marketing plans
        • Ability to set marketing priorities, collect, manage and interpret research data
        • Working knowledge of budgeting process and practices sufficient to manage expenditures related to assigned marketing projects
        • Financial skills are necessary to assist in the creation of competitive pricing models
        • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously highly desirable
        • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
        • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to enable process implementation across multiple divisions and effective client communications
