The Peering Manager is responsible, along with the Director of IP
Strategic Planning, with managing and developing peering
relationships with ISPs world wide. This will include the
opportunity to travel to meet with peering counterparts and to
attend Internet industry conferences. The Peering Manager will use
their superb interpersonal skills in working with culturally
diverse individuals to negotiate peering agreements and
augmentations with global peering partners. The Peering Manager is
also expected to work with the GIN Sales Organization to identify
revenue opportunities with global ISPs when they may not fit a
strict, settlement-free peering model. The Peering Manager will
report to the Director of IP Strategic Planning.

Manage and develop peering relationships to meet business goals
Develop peering agreements and amendments, and drive their
executions
Monitor peering capacity utilizations and proactively grow peering
capacity to meet business needs
Provide peering related data to support market and business
development
Review and update our peering policies periodically
Liaise between NTT Global IP Network and its peering partners, and
facilitate issue resolutions
Communicate and coordinate with other NTT teams worldwide to
understand peering needs and facilitate the delivery of peering
capacity
Support NOC and Sales for peering related issues
Keep records - track interactions and agreements with peers
Keep abreast of Internet industrial news, Internet technology
development, and world news
Travel moderately
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) Core Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English;
additional languages are a plus.
Advanced negotiation and issue resolution skills
Basic knowledge in TCP/IP suite technologies; BGP knowledge is nice
to have
Comfortable working on Unix/Linux platform is a plus
Ability to travel internationally
Education and Experience:
The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge,
skills, and/or abilities required in this position. Preferred level
of education and experience necessary to successfully perform the
principal responsibilities of this position are:
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree required. Computer Science or a
related field preferred.
Five plus (5+) years' experience in the Internet industry
Knowledge of basic peering agreement formats (e.g., bilateral,
multilateral, etc.)
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a general office environment.
Work requires extensive time using a computer and possibly other
office equipment.
