This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to enter the office in the growth phase and help shape the organization's impact to R&D. Our vision is to accelerate data driven R&D insights and decision-making for drug discovery and development. We're doing this through enabling speedy, democratized, and compliant access to quality R&D data, and perpetuating a data-driven culture. Our team is responsible for the strategy, governance, and management of Sanofi's R&D data. We serve as advisors, leaders, and educators to the business, data professionals and indeed all colleagues across the R&D value chain.

The R&D Data Office Program Manager is an essential role in coordinating and monitoring various programs required to manage the R&D Data Office roadmap, enable the R&D Data Strategy, and support ongoing communications to partners and executive leadership.

Your role includes understanding the R&D Data Strategy, coordinating and managing demand across initiatives that drive data governance and management across R&D, championing RDDO work amongst the R&D organization, providing oversight for selected program areas, and supporting delivery of quality work.

Main responsibilities

  • Understand and support implementation of the R&D Data Strategy across R&D
  • Develop and plan individual and cross program plans for initiatives that deliver the ambition of the R&D data strategy
  • Oversee, and coordinate timelines across R&D Data Office initiatives within the RDDO and with related/dependent initiatives across the enterprise
  • Manage demand and provide advice on financial management for priority R&D Data Office initiatives; support integration with Finance, Procurement, and other corporate functions
  • Monitor R&D Data Office initiative objectives, particularly as they develop R&D Data Office Capabilities (e.g., Data Governance, Data Management etc) and raise gaps in operating model(e.g., people, process, technology etc)
  • Coordinate preparatory work and briefing materials for key meetings
  • Support and create strategic documents articulating the value of R&D Data Office activities
  • Support and create training modules and communications to help with R&D data culture and literacy
  • Support the R&D Data Office agenda in line with company strategic priorities through monitoring of progress and related KPIs and work with key stakeholders to support delivery About you
    • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience
    • Technical skills:
      • Knowledge of drug discovery and development information and processes
      • Strong familiarity with data analytics, data capabilities, and cross-industry data standards
      • Ability to plan and forecast across programs and initiatives
      • Ability to navigate, escalate, and manage risks
      • Budgeting and financial management (OpEx, CapEx etc.)
      • Demonstrated skillset in strategy and transformation / implementation of large-scale programs
      • Understanding of back-end and front-end technologies and experience implementing highly functional solutions that can scale
      • Storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical jargon and concepts into something simple, accurate, and easy to understand
      • Expert communication skills: experience with change management and training modules is a plus
