Total Rewards & Workforce Experience role is responsible for the
development of strong business relationships while leading the
strategic sourcing and procurement activities for HR categories.
Areas of focus include but are not limited to: US and Global
benefits, compensation, wellness programs, payroll, executive
coaching, and team effectiveness. This role will engage closely and
frequently with senior business partners in the HR organization to
understand strategic business objectives, develop a fit-for-purpose
category strategy and drive business outcomes. This role is
expected to have proven experience in Total Rewards and Workforce
Experience space, while expertise & and knowledge of other HR
categories is preferred, Having this background will enable the
team's ability to drive the strategic focus areas of BMS and ensure
that the work within this category strategy can meet business
needs. This role is also seen as a trusted advisor to senior HR
stakeholders, and as a main point of contact for HR-related
procurement needs. This will require this role to have strong
coordination, collaboration and partnership abilities within
Enabling Services Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) and
across other SS&P functional towers to ensure holistic support
of the stakeholders. This role will drive Supplier Relationship
Management processes, procedures, supplier and category
segmentation, metrics/KPI development and application, etc. This
may include leading key Supplier governance in conjunction with
senior business stakeholders. Major Responsibilities and
Accountabilities: Drive strategic business partnering across the
targeted HR leadership team, along with Finance, Legal, and the
broader SS&P organization
- Maintain a leadership role to influence business strategies,
leverage emerging trends, and identify opportunity areas that
deliver sustainable value. Act as strategic enabler of change,
introducing new ideas and innovative solutions
- Develop, maintain and implement a 1-3 year strategic plan and
ensure all projects supporting the strategic plan deliver maximum
value.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within HR.
Continuously act as a trust advisor by proactively identifying
opportunities for enhanced engagement, new supplier capabilities,
and areas for further cost optimization. Stay updated on emerging
trends to drive innovation and help the business stay ahead of the
competition.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within these
HR categories.
- Partner with the business and finance to maintain visibility
into stakeholder 3rd party budgets, ensuring alignment with
financial goals and objectives.
- Track and report on cost savings and value delivered through
procurement activities. Execute supplier relationship management
(SRM) and drive supplier performance
- Oversee the rationalization and selection of suppliers that
meet business requirements at the optimal total cost, with
preferred supplier identification
- Manage and optimize the category supply base, preferred
suppliers, and track supplier performance (KPIs, SLA
tracking,..)
- Lead cadenced business reviews with key internal and external
stakeholders to track performance and ensure alignment on business
objectives
- Manage escalations from the business and coordinate with
suppliers on behalf of the business to develop solutions or
performance improvement plans Innovation management
- Foster internal and external (supplier-led) innovation
- Coordinate with other Category Strategy Partners and SS&P
Market Business Partners to execute innovation plans, display
supplier capabilities, and lead innovation workshops that help
solve key business problems
- Leverage deep knowledge of category management, supplier
capabilities and the commercial lifecycle to continuously bring
ideas and opportunities to business leaders and participate in
relevant innovation forums Internal/External Stakeholders:

Workforce Experience
- SS&P LT, Enabling Services LT, and broader SS&P
organization
- Agile Sourcing team, Finance Partners, Supplier executive
management
- Senior members of industry Qualifications Minimum Requirements
- Minimum education of a B.S./B.A.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of business experience of which eight
(8) years is multi-disciplined procurement experience, preferably
with focus on HR-related categories. Minimum of 3 years
Pharmaceutical Procurement experience.
- Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and
global teams
- Internal stakeholder management, data / information management,
category strategy development and management, process redesign and
continuous improvement expertise, project management and
performance measurement skills
- Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial
analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity,
supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning,
and integrated supply chain experiencePreferred Qualifications
- M.S./M.B.A.
- Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
- 5 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
- Membership in Professional Associations, e.g. ISM If you come
