PHLEBOTOMIST - QUALIFICATIONS:

Phlebotomy experience is required. Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Minimum of 6 months experience in a GMP regulated Laboratory environment is preferred. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft office (e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint, Visio.)

Responsibilities:


Key responsibilities for Donor Room Phlebotomist include but are not limited to:

The Phlebotomist is required to manage the Donor Room. The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood for Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Product Support laboratories product/project testing use. The Phlebotomist should know how operate equipment such as centrifuges. The Phlebotomist should be able to follow and perform all manufacturing processes in accordance with GMPs, SOPs, safety rules and production schedule. The Phlebotomist may help investigate testing abnormalities and implement corrective action. Must have good communication skills and be computer literate.

The Responsibilities

Performing Phlebotomy

Administrative duties

Will work with the following:

o Donors communicate and draw samples from them

o Payroll communicate and present weekly report

o Warehouse transport and ship samples

o Outside Laboratory communicate and send sample for quarterly and annual testing

o Blood Center communicate and ensure donor blood is received and accurate
