Job Description:
A New Jersey-based pharmaceutical company is looking to add a
newToxicologist to their growing staff. In this role, the
Toxicologist will be responsible for designing, execution and
evaluation of non-clinical safety, DMPK and toxicology studies
related to internal, external and early phase assets.
Responsibilities:
TheToxicologist will:
- Manage IND or NDA enabling nonclinical studies
- Review, analyze and interpret scientific data and results
- Evaluate contract research organization or academic
laboratories for study placement and manage outsourcing and study
activities
- Participate in due diligence activities and serve as
non-clinical drug safety expert of external assets for ART
- Plan detailed procedures for defined projects, including
timelines, milestones, methodological approaches, expected results
and necessary resources
- Author/co-author and reviewer of non-clinical sections of
regulatory submissions
- Provide regular updates, documentation and communication of
project results as appropriate
- Keep current with field of study, including literature and
technology development
- Monitor and analyze competitive scientific knowledge from
external source
- Work with Translational Sciences team to develop or validate
model systems, techniques, and computational tools to support drug
development
- Serve as technical expert and functional representative at
cross functional development teams, external collaborations and
academic programs
- Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Pharmaceutical and/or Contract
Research setting
- Ph.D.in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics and/or a
related area
- Strong background in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pathology, DMPK,
Drug Development, and Global Regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of overall Drug development and regulations.
- In depth experience with preparation of Regulatory
documents
- In depth experience with Toxicological and Drug Safety
principles
- Solid analytical and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
