Director, Rheumatology is a core member of the Rheumatology WW
Medical Team reporting to the WW Medical Head of Rheumatology. This
individual will play a key role in the development and execution of
Rheumatology portfolio medical strategies and international expert
engagement.Key Responsibilities
- Therapeutic Area: Rheumatology, eg Lupus, Psoriatic Arthritis,
Sjogren's Disease
- Collaborate with the WW Medical matrix team to develop and
execute the medical strategy for Rheumatology
- Lead international rheumatology expert engagement and the
General Rheumatology Advisory Committee
- Deliver quarterly updates to the organization on Rheumatology
WW Medical progress and projects
- Lead the development of content, communications, and research
strategies for afimetoran
- Represent WW Medical on the afimetoran development program
team
- Collaborate with the WW Medical lead for lupus and ensure
integration of afimetoran medical strategies within the broader
lupus strategyQualifications & Experience
- Advanced, scientific or medical degree, (e.g. MD, DO, NP, PA,
PhD, PharmD)
- Minimum 5+ years experience in the pharma/biopharma industry or
clinical practice
- Rheumatology expertise strongly preferred
- Advanced understanding of drug development, pharmaceutical and
healthcare industries
- Strong leadership experience in a matrix environment with
multi-functional project teams and managing external agencies
- Strong interpersonal communication skills commensurate with the
need to work closely with both external physicians/scientists and
in-house teams
- Ability to navigate complex topics in a matrix environment with
grace and confidence
- Strong listening, problem solving, and prioritization
skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills including the
ability to work under pressure, and to maintain scientific
excellence within timelines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including
