Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Mammography Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Job Title: Mammography Technologist Location: Brooklyn, NY 10466 Facility: Cumberland Gotham Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Pay Rate: $ 55 - $57 per hour on W2 Job Summary: We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team at the Cumberland Gotham location in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate should be experienced in both mammography and general radiography. You will be responsible for conducting diagnostic mammograms and ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate interpretation by radiologists. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform high-quality diagnostic mammograms in accordance with ARRT and NYSDOH standards. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures. Operate and maintain mammography and radiologic equipment. Ensure accurate documentation and image management in PACS systems. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for optimal patient care. Participate in QA/QC processes and maintain regulatory compliance. Assist with X-ray exams when needed (dual modality experience preferred). Maintain continued competency (minimum 200 mammography cases in last 2 years required). Experiences and certification: 2 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist. Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by NYSDOH. Post-primary certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Associate's Degree (or equivalent community college qualification). Preferred Skills: Experience performing both X-ray and mammography exams. Familiarity with relevant imaging and PACS equipment. Compliance with 200-case mammography requirement in the past 24 months.
