Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract /n/n/n/n Our client is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join their team at a medical center in New Hyde Park. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, assisting in surgical procedures and supporting patient care. /n/n/n/n Job Function: /n - Day Shift. /n - 7am - 3:30pm. /n - Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. /n /n - Count and document sponges, needles, and instruments per policy. /n /n - Prepare patients for surgery as instructed. /n /n - Provide technical support to surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists. /n /n - Sterilize surgical instruments using approved techniques. /n /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. /n /n - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the NBSTSA. /n /n - BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association). /n /n - 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist. /n /n /n/nDisclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
