Job Description GHR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Ambulatory Care for a travel nursing job in Plainsboro, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ambulatory Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/22/2025 Duration: 14 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Endocrinology Outpatient RN (Phone Triage) Schedule Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm Overview Busy outpatient practice specializing in Metabolic Medicine, Thyroid, Diabetes, and Endocrinology is seeking an RN focused on patient education and triage. This role is primarily phone based, with occasional in person teaching. Responsibilities Provide patient education mainly by phone for diabetes and endocrine care plans Teach patients how to use glucose meters and provide injectable medication instruction (ex: Ozempic) as needed in person or by phone Triage patient questions and symptoms, escalating to providers when appropriate Support prior authorizations for endocrine medications and supplies Call in refills and coordinate medication renewals Enter and track lab orders and communicate results per provider direction Document all education, triage, and care coordination in Epic EMR Collaborate with providers and triage nurses to ensure timely patient support Requirements Active RN license Epic EMR experience required Strong phone triage and patient education skills Experience in endocrinology, diabetes education, or outpatient specialty care preferred Comfortable working independently in a high volume clinic setting Interview process Teams interview followed by a 1 hour in person shadow with triage nurses.
