pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)
position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned
hours and position status (e.g., part-time). Scheduled Weekly
Hours: 40 Position Overview Pay Range: $574,221.00 - $1,223,620.00
The Orthopedic Surgeon is responsible for providing comprehensive
musculoskeletal care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
This role includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of
orthopedic conditions through medical management, surgical
intervention, and rehabilitative services. The Orthopedic Surgeon
will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver
high-quality, patient-centered care and contribute to ongoing
quality improvement initiatives. Opportunity Details: Provide
expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic
orthopedic conditions. Perform surgical procedures including
fracture care, joint reconstruction, arthroscopy, soft-tissue
procedures, and other orthopedic interventions within scope of
training. Interpret imaging studies including X-rays, MRI, CT, and
ultrasound. Provide non-operative management where appropriate,
including injections, bracing, and physical therapy
recommendations. Participate in shared call coverage for orthopedic
emergencies and trauma cases. Document all clinical encounters in a
timely and accurate manner per hospital and regulatory standards.
Inpatient / Surgical Responsibilities Manage hospitalized
orthopedic patients including rounding, postoperative care, and
coordination with consulting services. Provide emergent evaluation
and surgical management of trauma and on-call orthopedic cases.
Collaborate with anesthesiology, nursing, rehab, radiology, and OR
teams to optimize surgical workflow and patient outcomes.
Outpatient Responsibilities Conduct clinic visits for new patient
evaluations, follow-ups, and surgical consultations. Educate
patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options,
postoperative expectations, and rehabilitation plans. Coordinate
continuity of care with primary care providers and referring
physicians. Administrative & Professional Responsibilities
Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement projects,
and peer review. Comply with hospital policies, medical staff
bylaws, and regulatory requirements. Maintain continuing medical
education (CME) and board certification/eligibility. Supervise and
educate residents, medical students, or APPs (if applicable).
Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited
institution. Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery
residency. Fellowship training in subspecialty area (optional/if
applicable). Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic
Surgery. Valid state medical license CDS and DEA registration.
Expertise in orthopedic surgical and nonsurgical care. Strong
interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to
manage high-acuity trauma and complex orthopedic conditions.
Commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
WORKING CONDITIONS Inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
Exposure to bodily fluids, radiation (in OR/clinic), and infectious
diseases. Requires standing for long periods, manual dexterity, and
ability to lift/move patients. This position is eligible for the
