Job Description Job Description Job description Apex Therapeutic Services is hiring Certified Occupational Therapists Assistants to work at a Skilled Nursing Facility Facility: Momentum at South Bay Rehabilitation 340 East Main Street, East Islip, NY 11730 Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy to adult and geriatric patients under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist. Develop and improve the skills needed for the daily functioning of your patients Prepare documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries as required Implement and document patient status under the direction of OT and Rehab Director Monitor patient’s performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement Supervise patient’s activities to ensure they are done properly Qualified applicants must: Be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program Hold licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in the State of New York Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Benefits: Flexible schedule Medical Specialist Geriatrics Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay Ability to commute/relocate: Brooklyn, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) License/Certification: Occupational Therapy Assistant License (Required) COTA (Preferred)
