Job Description Job Description Salary: Contract Position | Mobile Unit Program New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is aCARF-accredited, nonprofit provider of outpatient substance use and mental health services. We deliver respectful, high-quality care that supports recovery and wellness across our communities. NBCC is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) on a contract basis, supporting our Mobile Unit initiative. This is an opportunity to be part of an access-focused program expanding life-saving care for individuals living with opioid use disorder (OUD) with a team approach grounded intrauma-informed, culturally responsive, patient-centered care. What Youll Do Ensure clinical and program compliance with state and federal OTP regulations and agency policies Provide clinical oversight of nursing services and support day-to-day medical operations Supervise, coach, and evaluate program nurses to maintain consistent standards of safety, documentation, and patient care Ensure appropriate nursing and medication administration coverage during operating hours Conduct comprehensive admission and annual medical assessments, including medical, mental health, and substance use histories Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate (e.g., TB, HIV, Hepatitis) and follow up on results Monitor and support the medical needs of clients who are pregnant, HIV-positive, or medically complex Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support individualized care plans Triage clients for medical supervision or external referral; track outcomes and complete follow-ups Administer medications for OUD, including long-acting injectables when clinically appropriate Prescribe medications to address substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions within scope and program protocols Monitor clients on psychotropic medications for side effects/adverse reactions and respond appropriately Maintain accurate, timely, compliant documentation per regulatory and agency standards Perform other clinical duties as assigned to support safe, effective mobile service delivery Minimum Qualifications MSN from an accredited institution Current New Jersey RN license and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) New Jersey prescriptive authority (or eligibility to obtain) Eligible to prescribe medications for OUD treatment (including buprenorphine) in accordance with current federal and NJ requirements Current CPR/AED certification 2 years of clinical experience in a relevant area (addiction medicine, psychiatry, primary care, community health, or related), or an equivalent combination of training/experience Schedule 15 hours per week, scheduled as needed in accordance with agency and mobile unit operational requirements Why Join NBCC Mission-driven work in a CARF-accredited environment Be part of a mobile unit program expanding access to essential care for underserved communities Collaborative culture with medical and behavioral health partners Meaningful impact-supporting individuals and families affected by opioid use disorder with dignity and respect Location: NBCC Burlington Comprehensive Center at Mount Holly (Mobile Unit)
