Position Summary

The HR Strategy & Operations Lead for Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) has three key responsibilities: Bringing GPS Operating model Evolution and GPS HR capabilities to life, leading strategy and operations for the GPS HR team, and owning the development of the HR Operating model capability. In support of GPS Evolution and our long-term strategy, this role is key member of the GPS HRLT as the HR Capability Lead for HR Operating Model.

Key Responsibilities:
GPS Operating model Evolution
Drives the operationalization and management of the GPS Evolution Operating Model initiatives, partnering with the GPS Strategy & Business Excellence team
Develops content to support GPS LT in prioritization, resourcing, escalations, and decision-making related to Operating Model Evolution topics
Represents GPS HR on a range of enterprise-wide initiatives to understand, clarify, and address interdependencies with GPS Operating model Evolution
Proactively supports Evolution Operating model program activities (e.g. onboarding new workstreams, chartering, etc.) and updates to GPS LT and key stakeholders
Develops and owns an iterative process to build and codify GPS HR capabilities in a standardized way across GPS HR Capability leads

GPS HR Strategy & Operations Lead and Chief of Staff to SVP, HR GPS
Drives business performance of GPS HR Leadership team by connecting dots across GPS HRBPs, and by shaping our short and long-term strategic priorities.
Provides strategic guidance and consultative capacity on initiatives to SVP, GPS HR and the GPS HR leadership team
Leads transformational initiatives that impact the entire organization. - Partners with the GPS HRLT and executive stakeholders to rapidly organize, launch, and govern major initiatives.
Program manages the GPS HR initiative portfolio
Leads the SVP, GPS HR LT annual calendar and team meetings (e.g. setting of agenda with LT, managing time, topics, ensuring proper follow-up with action items)
Manages GPS HR finances to ensure budget attainment and strategic planning (budget, April and September projection, tax, financial reporting, etc.), by proactively partnering with SVP, GPS HR, Senior HRC, and GPS Finance.

Capability Lead for HR Operating Model
Key member of the GPS HR LT, representing the HR Operating model capability
Collaborates across the HR Operating Model (COE's, People Services, Site HR) to articulate gaps and business needs. Partners with key stakeholders in developing and delivering solutions that drive value across the enterprise
Clarifies, articulates, and codifies roles, accountabilities, processes, governance, decision rights, and metrics to enable HR teams to collaborate effectively
Defines and leads change management efforts to ensure delivery of organizational solutions, programs, and deliverables
Translates metrics and analytics to inform and influence the overall organization's direction to drive business performance and efficiency whilst ensuring ongoing engagement.
Leverages insights and trends to support business talent and organization decisions to drive overall organizational effectiveness
Takes a leadership role in creating a respectful and inclusive work environment while role-modeling the BMS Behaviors and fostering cultural diversity.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
7+ years of experience within management consulting, business strategy, business operations or HR related fields
3+ Years of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or healthcare industry experience, strongly desired
Proven success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making and in supporting global organizations
Experience in the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance
Experience in leading change management efforts including defining change and communication plans
Demonstrated experience in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management
Proven application in leveraging business acumen and external insights to improve business and talent outcomes
Knowledge of external trends and factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level
Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment
