Our direct client is looking for QA Lead for Web Application Software Testing and Mainframe Testing for a Long Term Contract position in Trenton, NJ.DESCRIPTION:- Experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead needed for Web Application Software Testing and Mainframe Testing. - Candidate should be familiar with IBM MQ Series and Oracle data bases. - The QA Analyst will provide software testing and analytical support to the development team as well as other QA staff. - The QA team members will work under the supervision of our QA test lead.- Preference will be given to candidate who has worked on high profile software modernization projects with an emphasis on testing and quality assurance. Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the team to create test cases to ensure test coverage across all modules in the project. - Responsible for the examination and testing of software, to identify defects before going to UAT and then Production. - Review and interpret business requirements and translate them into test procedures. - Evaluate and test new or modified software.Requirements:- Familiar with smoke testing, regression testing, script writing, automation testing and full SDLC testing. - Ability to apply test methodologies into daily routines and perform repeatable testing processes and procedures. - Knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks. - Must have a BS degree in computer science or engineering and 5 yrs. of exp. in the skill sets listed above.QA Team Lead, all with 5 years' experience required -- The QA Team Lead will provide training, guidance, mentoring, support & supervision. 5 years' experience' and 'required'- The QA Team Lead Takes will take the lead in performing more complex testing activities and communication of findings.- The QA Team Lead will support other team members as needed on processes and new functionality.- The QA Analyst will provide software testing and analytical support to the development team as well as other QA staff. - The QA team members will work under the supervision of our QA test lead.SKILLS MATRIX:- Experience reading and understanding business requirements, workflows, use cases, scope documents and technical specifications - Required- Create test plans and update test scenarios/scripts - Required - Experience with script writing and Automation testing for web applications - Required - Experience with Smoke testing, Regression testing - Required - Experience in working in multiple environments and multiple applications - Required - Experience in testing web applications integrated with IBM MQ Series and Oracle data bases - Required - Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Frameworks - Plus to have- Experience using JIRA - Plus to have- Prior Testing Lead Experience - Required - Experience in testing Mainframe Applications - Required - BS in Computer Science or Engineering - Required - Experience as a QA on high profile software modernization projects - Desired- Experience in testing manual queries(MQ) and working knowledge of DB2/IMS databases; candidates should be familiar with mainframe testing tools. - Required - Experience testing JAVA, .Net. applications. - RequiredQuestion 1: Where is the candidate currently geographically located?Question 2: If the candidate resides more than 1 hour from the client site, will the candidate relocate for the position?Location: Trenton, NJType: Long Term ContractPlease send resume to "jobs at etechnovision dot com" with A3130A in Subject for immediate consideration. - provided by Dice
