Job Description:

The Digital Commerce Omni Channel Sales Technical Expert works in a worldwide team accountable for the definition, design, evolution, delivery, and ongoing operation of the products and services supporting field colleagues related to commercial and scientific activities. This includes the CRM, Events, Transparency, and other supporting commercial applications as part of the overall technology ecosystem including sales force excellence, customer engagement, and field medical affairs.

In the Technical Expert role, she/he drives the continuous improvement cycles of the Veeva platform to meet, maintain, increase service recipient satisfaction in alignment with the Omnichannel Sales digital strategy. The role has an accountability for the technology architecture supporting these product areas to ensure effective technology selections and implementations aligned with Sanofi's Digital strategies.


  • Drive strategy and feature road mapping exercises
  • Design/implement a custom feature based on Salesforce/Veeva/Medical CRM technologies
  • Accountable to lead and participate in the definition, design and realization of high value solutions which align to corporate and functional business strategy. This requires strong technical platform skills and willingness to manage work at a detailed level.
  • Provide business consulting services to key business stakeholders including systems integration best practice and process excellence principles. Develop and improve "ways of working" with partners to successfully delivery business solutions and support.
  • Supports field personas for global functional activities
  • Supports requirements gathering and documentation of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Documents stakeholder interviews and functional design
  • Executes day-to-day activities for functional requirements gathering and organizational change management
  • Coordinates with external product vendors on UI/UX on functional requirements and design
  • Conducts / facilitates interviews, leads analysis, and prepares sprint review workshop materials
  • Leads design discussion with key global business users to align on field capabilities and associated requirements
  • Works with external vendors to define the architecture and technology enablement components for Veeva CRM and Events and Congress solutions
  • Participate in the definition of future state solution architecture by establishing strong business relationships, creating a strategic roadmap for realizing the vision and articulating technology impact to business processes and overall organization.
  • Lead the definition of conceptual and logical architecture specifications for application architecture within assigned business function.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify and analyze business drivers to derive business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements.
  • Ensure that application architecture decisions are consistent between functions, align to enterprise architecture, and leverage opportunities for common approaches. Implement and follow appropriate governance procedures to ensure compliant and efficient computing environments
  • Make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the business application systems within assigned functional area by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, performing complex product customization, and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of systems hardware/software.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and coaching to our Internal stakeholders and Partners, providing guidelines and best practices

    • Global and Market Level Business Process Owner Teams
    • Digital Sales Product Line Leaders, Product Owners, Architects
    • Digital Product Owners and other colleagues in other areas (Multi Channel Engagement, Data Team, Technology, etc.)
    • Global Program/Project Leadership

      • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
      • Veeva Certified is required
      • Fluent in English

        • 12+ year of experience in Salesforce ecosystem as business analyst and 8+ years implementation experience in Veeva CRM
        • Strong business analysis skill and experience, including development of business/IT vision and strategy, requirements definition, process modeling, and operating model design
        • 10+ years of experience in enabling Sales, Marketing solutions in Pharmaceutical industry
        • Good knowledge in Veeva CRM and Events processes including sales force automation, customer engagement, and medical affairs in Pharma industry
        • Experience with implementation and integration of CRM technologies including, Veeva, and IQVIA
        • Experience in working in a global environment including the ability to maintain global relationships and understand different business models
        • Curiosity and appetite for data
        • Applied use of Agile methodology
        • Strong understanding and experience in agile techniques
