Job Description:

CAI is hiring!We are in immediate need of a Business Analyst. This is a long-term contract position and is on-site in Trenton, NJ. All onsite workers must be vaccinated or complete weekly COVID testing.The Business Analyst will assist with highlighting and planning how to move forward with undocumented Mainframe systems and programs, undocumented databases, risk for failure of future modernization projects, and attrition of subject matter experts. Due to the transformation and the rewriting of the mainframe applications, including the Real ID project, it is essential that these legacy systems be documented to ensure the success of future projects. At the heart of this, initiatives are the core IT systems that support internal business processes and public-facing services, both over the counter as well as on-line. Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and documenting all mainframe legacy systems
  • Interviewing stakeholders and SMEs as part of documentation process
  • Assisting in design and development of documentation templates using Xwiki
  • Analyzing and documenting all agency programs
  • Rewriting mainframe applications
  • Facilitating planning sessions
  • Participating in project management best practice meetings
  • Applying methods to the project for effective project management improvements
  • Managing multiple advanced project plans
  • Providing necessary assistance with effective reporting to internal and external stakeholders including look ahead reports, critical reports and various project plan reportingQualifications Experience/Education Required:
    --- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not a requirement
    --- 3-5 years of experience with business analytics/mainframes/documentation
    --- Project management experience is a plus
    --- Strong analytical and project management skills, including an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs to translate them into application and operational requirements
    --- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of managers, subject matter experts, and vendors in a detail-oriented and professional mannerPhysical Demands:
    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
    • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
