Job Descriptions:Position Summary:The Software QA Analyst, Senior creates and implements testing procedures that ensure the integrity and quality of software systems released into production. This role provides technical expertise for software testing projects and operations. The Software QA Analyst, Senior works with business analysts, software developers, and other project stakeholders in all phases of the software development life cycle and ensures that all internally developed software is free from defects, complies with functional specifications and meets or exceeds end-user requirements.Required Experience:Responsibilities:Conduct daily test activities for assigned area or applicationsEmploy testing criteria in the review and approval of business requirements, functional specifications, and systems designDesign, develop and execute test plans, test cases, and manual and automated test scriptsProvide timely and relevant communication on test findings to key stakeholdersCreate testing techniques, tools and development functions related to test analysis, scripting and executionIdentify and prepare the appropriate data for testing, and prepare that data for the test cases in partnership with business and technology leadsParticipate in functional, performance and integration testing; facilitate service expansion into security, usability and operability testingMonitor the integrity and accuracy of the testing strategyAssess risks to quality by applying various verification and validation techniquesDetermine the acceptable range for test results and performanceMonitor, update, and audit Software Testing and Quality Assurance processesParticipate in QA metrics/reporting and departmental support throughout the organizationWork with Development and the BTL/Business to mitigate defect escalations and rejectionsAssess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product designProduce documents related to test procedures, defect findings & test summary reportsTrack and document QA issues, defects and resolution detailsAssess product/project performance based upon test results and product specificationsAssist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problemsDevelop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of products, both from a business perspective as well as a technical perspectiveWork with Development and the BTL/Business to mitigate defect escalations and rejectionsApprove Access Service Requests from the test environment Coordinator and ensure that test, system, tool, and application access are available to support testingDevelop process improvements for Software QA and SDLC processes and proceduresAdhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:Bachelor's degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.Relevant Years of Experience Required:Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible software QA analysis experience.Other Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical):Excellent understanding of quality assurance processes and testing methodologyKnowledge of the entire software development process (SDLC)Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Thorough knowledge of test planning and operationsDemonstrated experience creating effective test plans and metricsPrior experience in conducting risk assessmentsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.#LI-ER1#LI-HRBRID#DICECOVID-19 RequirementsETS requires all new hires to either certify that they have been fully vaccinated or request and obtain an exemption due to medical or religious reasons by their start date.ETS is an Equal Opportunity Employer comprised of people with different experiences, strengths, and backgrounds who share a passion for advancing quality and equity in education.
