The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As a Solution Architect supporting Personal Insurance, you will collaborate with senior Technology and Business leaders and apply your knowledge of modern technology to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business. The Work Arrangement for this position is based on Location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for architecture support for Travelers Personal Insurance line of business. A few of your key responsibilities will include: + Hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions + Provide architecture direction for engineers in support of technical patterns in Java or .Net technologies + Lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions; partner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologies + Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt + Participate in defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps + Ensure alignment of IT initiatives with the target state + Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture + Perform other duties as assigned. **What our ideal candidate will have:** + Strong proven Software Engineering experience with .Net or Java experience in Spring Boot Framework + Supports technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals + Has hands on experience in the last 3 years + Organizational experience in an agile operating model + Insurance technology experience desired + Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy + Current experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps + Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud **What is a Must Have?** + Bachelors degree or its equivalent in work experience. + Five years of experience in engineering software or analytic applications within a line of business area **What Is in It for You?** + **Health Insurance:** Employees and their eligible family members including spouses, domestic partners, and children are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment. + **Retirement:** Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
