Job Description Job Description Position Title: Interim Finance Integration Lead / Interim Controller Industry: Infrastructure Services / Utility Services Company Size: Approximately $50M revenue, $16M EBITDA Location: Lancaster, PA area Strong preference for onsite presence Candidates within approximately 90 miles preferred Engagement Type: Interim Duration: Approximately 3–5 months Start Timing: Within the next few weeks Company Overview Two infrastructure service providers are being acquired by a Private Equity firm simultaneously and will be immediately integrated to form one platform. The business provides non-destructive excavation and related field services to municipal and infrastructure end markets and is entering a critical post-transaction phase focused on integration, financial discipline, and reporting readiness. Situation Overview The business is seeking an experienced interim finance leader to support the Day 1 transition to private equity ownership and execute the 100 Day Plan, with primary responsibility for leading the financial integration of two operating companies into a single, cohesive platform. This role will be central to establishing financial infrastructure, reporting cadence, and cash flow visibility during the first phase of ownership. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role designed to bring immediate structure, continuity, and accountability while the business transitions into a sponsor-backed environment. Role Overview The Interim Finance Integration Lead will function as a Day 1 “Super Controller,” partnering closely with existing CFO leadership to manage the Day 1 transition and execute the 100 Day Plan. The role will focus on integrating finance and accounting operations, strengthening controls, and building a durable financial foundation suitable for private equity ownership. Key Responsibilities Day 1 Transition and 100 Day Plan Execution Support financial readiness and execution for the Day 1 ownership transition Lead finance and accounting integration efforts as part of the 100 Day Plan Assist with opening balance sheet preparation and net working capital normalization Financial Reporting and Close Establish consistent monthly close timelines and reporting cadence Develop a consolidated monthly financial reporting package Improve accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of financial reporting Cash Flow and Forecasting Build and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast Support development of an annual operating budget Improve visibility into working capital and liquidity Lender and Stakeholder Reporting Prepare lender reporting and support compliance requirements Partner with ownership and leadership on financial communication and reporting needs Systems and Process Operate within a QuickBooks environment and support reporting across systems Help rationalize processes between the two businesses mprove financial controls, documentation, and operating discipline Collaboration and Leadership Work collaboratively with existing CFO leadership and operational teams Serve as a hands-on execution partner rather than a replacement leader Provide structure, clarity, and accountability during the integration period Requirements Candidate Profile Experience Prior experience supporting Day 1 transitions in sponsor-backed environments Experience executing or supporting 100 Day Plans Background in industrial services, infrastructure services, or field-based operating businesses Finance and accounting integration experience across multiple entities Technical and Functional Strengths Strong accounting foundation with hands-on close and reporting experience Cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and lender reporting experience Project or job cost accounting experience a plus Leadership Characteristics Hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up execution style Collaborative approach with existing leadership Comfortable operating in fast-moving, transitional environments Clear communicator with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset Compensation Wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions. Exact compensation may vary based on factors including skills, experience, certification, license and location. A reasonable estimate of current total compensation range $6000 to $7000 USD per week or $125 to $150 per hour.
