Major, Lindsey & Africa's Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Commercial Real Estate Counsel.
Overview: Our client is looking to hire a talented and experienced Interim Commercial Real Estate Counsel for a long-term consulting opportunity.
Company: Communications leader
Experience: Looking for candidates with at least 6+ years of relevant, proven legal experience with a law firm or in-house, in the area of commercial real estate.
Location: Hybrid (Somerset County, NJ)
Responsibilities Include:

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts of sale and commercial leases.
• Understand real estate finance issues.
• Resolve and manage disputes with respect to leases.
• Manage local zoning, land use and permitting processes.
• Advise clients on applicable code compliance and regulatory matters.
• Proactively identify and mitigate any areas of risk.
• Some local travel required
  Qualifications Include:
  • JD degree from a top tier law school with strong academic performance.
  • Active and in good standing bar admission from any state.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant, proven legal experience in the area of commercial real estate.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to professionally manage time, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and process a high volume of work in a timely and accurate manner with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify challenges and lead implementation of appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with all levels of personnel and communicate legal requirements without losing focus of client objectives.
