Immediately hiring for a Business Analyst / Project Manager - MUST COME FROM A LEGAL DOMAINPosition type: Full-time/6-month contract-to-hireLocation: Piscataway, NJ (Hybrid) 2-3 days on-site in Piscataway, NJ - remaining days remoteAs a BA / PM - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A LEGAL DOMAIN, you will:Be a key facilitator that works closely with business program and product managers, and IT teams to deliver technology solutions that add business value.As an integral team member of the IT BRM and PMO team, the BA / PM from a LEGAL DOMAIN leads both the effort of defining software requirements and ensuring those requirements are accurately developed. This role acts as the bridge between project stakeholders and IT teams, is accountable for both the business requirements and functional specifications, and is responsible for driving necessary business communication.The incumbent is also responsible for forging strong relationships with business relationship managers and ensuring alignment with our client's IT solutions, our infrastructure, and processes with industry best practices. Critical to the success in this role, is the ability to understand and articulate user needs and to develop business requirements for the development. Facilitate the delivery of technology solutions that add business value (50%)Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to determine business, functional, and tech requirements that support organizational business goals, documenting those requirements, and working with Product Owners, Developers, Project Managers, and QA Analysts to deliver business technology solutions including:Analysis and recommendation of innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of the process, and increase productivity, availability, and performance to aid in long-term strategic and operational goals.Collaborate with the Product Owner, Stakeholders, and Delivery Team(s) to gather functional and non-functional requirements.Facilitate sessions with all relevant stakeholders to drive clarity and agreement on requirementsDocumentation of requirements, test case oversight, and change management procedures from a business owner perspective for existing mission-critical systems & applications ensuring change meets (or exceeds) business objectives.Oversight of the design of applications and the mapping of functional business requirements into technical requirements/agile stories.Service Strategy (30%)In partnership with IT and business stakeholders, evaluate alternative solutions to meet business requirements utilizing proven tools/methodologies to facilitate build/buy decisionsDevelops and describes a sufficient understanding of both the business processes/objectives/outcomes and technology solutions and uses that knowledge to propose and guide business improvements.Collaborate and continuously develop strong and productive working relationships with members of the company Business Unit(s) and company IT Teams.Provides consultation for business projects that often integrate new technology and/or carry out organization-wide operational and tech functions.Service Ops and Continual Improvement (20%)Assists with the formulation, analysis, and review of business case documents, project plans, and schedules to ensure it is accurate and valid to required business needsReviews, updates, and develops documentation including but not limited to requirements, process workflows, wireframes, screen element specifications, user stories, use cases, data mapping/validations, business rules, scripts, and procedures for future reference or use.EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, IS, or CS discipline Work Experience7+ yrs of related exp that includes increasing levels of responsibility in gathering and defining requirements, analyzing/mapping business processes, and supporting the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions, services, products, and applications Required7+ yrs of exp leading IT/software project teams from business and functional requirements through service operations Preferred7+ yrs of exp required in participating in or managing projects in an environment with quality management systems e.g. ITIL, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma, etc. PreferredSkills and RequirementsGood understanding of Enterprise Architecture and distributed systems in a legal domainGood knowledge of business information technology best practicesStrong business analysis, and project mgmt skillsStrong skills in documentation for business and technology user audiences.Good technical background and ability to effectively balance multiple prioritiesStrong understanding of system development, IT, and business processes and their inter-relationship.Understanding of the Software Development Life CycleQualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
